That should be the right estimation for RRP. Since seather mentioned his regular shop putting approx RM7.5K++. Should the street price approximately RM8.5K ~ RM9K upon launching? Damn... far from my reach laugh.gif

Capture NX software is a damn good software. Of course they dont give it to you for free.
In case it was not mentioned here, the latest version 2.3.0 update is 64 bit. No more running 32bit in 64bit OS. Finally ! Much faster and smoother.

here...D800 ISO6400 image

http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readflat...thread=40544685

It is 1 stop worse than D700

D800 is meant for studio photography and high fashion portraits with strobes
Not too bad what... You're expecting D3s territory?

If that is the same guy, I would suspect so...

Anyway, any idea where the D800 is made? Japan, Thailand, Malaysia?

Well, put it this way lah. If the price is really RM7500 nett/solid/only, I will get 2 units. No need to think. But no grey sets please.

btw seriously man, D800 noise control is superb already. what's there to complain la? People buy 36MP often shooting stills / portraits.

D700 is still a good choice as not everyone needs 36MP + video.

Jerry Ghionis got his D3s + 24-70 f/2.8 for free. He won it.

Perhaps Nikon gave him a good deal just to post that up? LOL !!!
