dont worry, the nano version so far doesnt have fake one, yet. the fake i saw is the old packaging one.

I guess regular B+W user should know the weight and the glass transmission, if it was ciplak one can directly tell

yup, even when u see the box itself, u can already doubt the genuinity of the filter, without open the box and feel the weight as well as the glass..

not sure on the performance though. Coz dont even bother to purchased one. the price is more or less the same as genuine one.

because nowadays b+w made out of brass, it is heavy unlike hoya    so if the fake one generous enough they can use brass also haha

I read somewhere that some B+W filters were made from alloy for the asian market, not sure if it's true or not coz the brass ones were relatively more expensive and that's the reason B+W came up with the alloy rings instead of the brass ones.  IIRC it was dpreview.com

Note about the alloy rings is that over time, the alloy thread 'melts' into the lens thread making it extremely difficult to remove, and only way is to practically destroy the filter to get it removed.

still keeping with my d90.. now hand a bit itchy to get d7000 aldy.. haih..

bigger sensor and more AF point.. thats the only advantage..

other than that i dont see any major different..

p/s:- not really interested in articulated LCD, so dont recommend me to get d5100.. not interested at all

just get the wide angle, wide angle is fun

if AF speed is not an issue, then the tamron would do nice, thing about the 85 1.8g is that there isn't any real life feedback test on it, so its kinda gamble if you get it first hand, abathen, since its the 2nd gen 1.8, it will prob be as good if not better than its predecessor

Yay, just got back my 16-85mm from repair. The zoom was a bit sticky from 70-85mm. I sent it to nikon center in BTS last Xmas.
Got charged RM432 for the repair. In the receipt it says they replaced 2nd ring and the relay FPC. No idea what are those.
Really glad now it worked wonder! Feels like new ..hehe.
*I lost my purchase receipt! LOL.
I just got my self a tamron sp90 about a month now. though it is pretty sharp for macro and portraits, it is less practicle for portraits. Once in a while use ok lah.
This is because the AF speed is not as fast as AF-S or other motor lenses. Plus, there's no VR (if u care). Agree with celciuz, the lens extends a lot!
I use it for macro mostly as it is pretty sharp and can get really close. A macro beginner here.

Indeed, Bokeh shot will usually wow ppl.

Thx...the skin tone edit in LR, and i always compare the picture between in Apple and Window PC to make sure which is better color tones

You will be surprised how some simple bokeh shots somehow get more FB likes than another lesser bokeh counterpart that you have cooked the photo to perfection.

Anyway guys,I'm new on DSLR,when i practice,I keep capture many fail pictures and shutter count going high.I did cpature many pictures in one day,I scared of shutter failure because I heard the lifespan of the DSLR shutter around 100k,so how do i practice and get used with the dslr?
