Maybe you will love the 4:5 mode when shooting portrait ?
plus your current geat setup will definitely make good use of the optics resolution

I don't get the 4:5 mode, what is this? o_O

But AFAIK, TIFF tends to have bigger file size..
Not about RAW or not, just the size..
Cause when doing outdoor or night photography i use RAW or TIFF most of the time

more like 4x5 or 5x4 ratio "crop mode"
the bigger box is the conventional ratio of 3:2
while the red box is the 5:4 i mentioned

Ture, so now I don't get what is the mode for,

5:4 is the format for medium format or slide film

Cameras like Mamiya and Hasselblad are in 5:4 format

5:4 prints out in 8R etc without the need to crop.
true u can crop in photoshop, but sometimes its easier to frame the subject in case what u want to crop out cannot be cropped out etc...especially in portrait orientation.
