Conversion can be very minimal, clutch linkage + housing + clutch pedal works of brake pedal + ECU reset + dashboard wiring + shift stick + H-Gate. The rest almost everything can be use back, just need to ditch away the robot and clutch pump and replace with the things I've listed. Rough estimation yes indeed around 3k. HOWEVER, that does not mean problem free. In the end it's a conversion, later clutch cable patah la, clutch housing senget lar, ECU can't recognize it's a manual still detect as "P" lar this lar that lar.

More over, how often do you see sawi manual halfcut? blink.gif If you can find, good for you coz those parts if buy new, it will be more expansive than your car. Take your calculation provided earlier:

Your car value 5k
You owe bank 11k
After trade in, you still owe bank 6k

If decided to convert to manual, and so happened it works with 3k, so your car now is 11k debts + 3k conversion cost. Total costing raised up to 14k

You buy a Sawi manual for 7k, add on the money you still owe bank 6k = RM13k

Sell off the AMT and get anor manual would still save you RM1k with much less problem icon_idea.gif

The car broke down at Kek Lok Si hill temple.
The flywheel housing overheat till melted the TDC sensor. Free tow to my relatives house, bought the part and fixed at house. RM 120 for the sensor.

Yes the TDC sensor had not been changed for the past 7 years plus. The black one is old type and blue one is new. You can use the new type with the old shunt cable/base connector. Just need to cut away the edges at the old shunt connector. My break down confirmed was caused by the faulty TDC sensor. Found new lobang in Penang for Savvy parts at near Sungai Pinang. Theres a nice workshop called AUTO PERFORMANCE GARAGE same row with this spare part shop. Enquired about the labour for clutch plate change just RM180. Highly recommended.

You went Renautech before rite? See some Shawie beside the shop as below?

They're all AMT waiting for halfcut sparepart. Some the clutch pump ady beyond repair, getting a new unit would cost a bomb. Some the robot died, waiting for 2nd hand robot whistling.gif Some Kangoo Auto is sold as part car doh.gif That said, AMT/Auto halfcut is rare, manual mostly repairable and very seldom sell as junk flex.gif

Seriously dude, now say what also too late already, it's all about luck. Besides, since we know AMT will have the problem soon, why not sell it? I remember I read somewhere you mentioned wanted to buy a Fortektek like kidmad does. It's not wrong to change car, but stumble here and curse ain't gonna get you anywhere besides of filling up your negative thinking.

Have you gotten the quote from MyBi? Particularly, old MyBi doesn't hab ABS, but their wheel hub/bearing are all complied with ABS, so as Shawie/BLM/FL/FLX whistling.gif What's the plobrem? ABS or not, wheel bearing price are similar yawn.gif More importantly, I spent the same price on the bearing grease as the bearing. The rest of GaGa/Shawie owner to know, our ranjiao wheel bearing is flat bedded type, and can easily get busted when you carry full weight, especially sagat gang please take note. Everytime you hear sagat, meaning the flat bedded roller scratched on the bearing hub instead of rolling over. The more often you heard sagat, the higher possibility you bust your bearings whistling.gif Refer below, right is new bearing, left is what you'll be expecting

user posted image

And yes, it will fly off just like that
On the other hand, if you're using this 1, you can brain nothing can go wrong

user posted image

When the roller ball start to shrink, free play will alert you with humming sound when traveling at consistent speed. If you keep ignoring, 1 find day it will jam. Seldom the case that the ball kena shrink until the hub detached from the bearing base laugh.gif

user posted image

And yes C2KBAS2005, it's f***ing expansive compare to the cheapskate flat bedded bearings sweat.gif

Here's a reply I posted on GaGa thread awhile ago. Since Shawie and GaGa shares the common foot work, so it is also applicable for Shawie.

U got the ideal wrong. Flat bedded bearings more easy get busted than ball bearing. Can't be change, unless u mod the whole brakes. Some mod to use Galant Eterna rear disc brakes, yes its ball bearing. But when I thought of need to drill my tofu make torsion beam, sumore welding the disc brake hub... I rather maintain my bearings with fugly hub brakes whistling.gif

In order to fit rear disc brakes, u will have to do this
