p.m back already..

update on my temp problem.. seem temporary settle.. just pour in coolant (before this just tap water) to keep it down to 3 level.. but with no thermostat worry that the block will break down faster cause no water jacket to help to absorb the heat generated.. well the water flow and hope it absorb all the engine heat efficiently.

i still need to top up coolant every few day and let the resourvier tank open up all night to make sure the bubble that sip thru my leak (block or head block) escape out from the cooling system.. if bubbles @ air is trap inside the cooling system, the temp will be ridiculous.. can go up to 5 bar but nothing smelly or what from the engine bay..

hope to repair this baby as soon as possible.. make me worry if wanna go for long way journey..

*r3 spring also available for rm300+..

source : savoc @ facebook..

tdc known problem : -
1 ) hard to start (need few crank to engine start)..
2 ) jerk on low gear..

for 1 problem, solder is a way to solve the prob.. or change to new type connector (rm300++ in proton sc)..

for 2 problem, need to clean the tdc.. the tdc will get dirt from the dusty flywheel.. so no permanent solution yet.. just service it every 6 month at workshop that can handle renault engine..

*just my 2 cent..

Already on R3 exhaust.. superb performance compare to standard..

Bro R3 exhaust how much you get it done? Also does it pair with an open pod?  brows.gif  brows.gif  brows.gif
*
price is rm192+ (35% discount.. normal price is 290).. installation is rm30.. i'm using drop in with box mod to open air like.. no prob.. nice sound and power indeed..
act fast.. as i know only A.C.T tyre care centre carry this r3 exhaust.. only 10 unit all across malaysia.. r3 try to finish up old stock maybe..

Hi guys,

I am trying to clean the body throttle myself (first time). I read about some body throttle cleaner, do you guys know where i can get these? Any recommended brand?
I managed to open the air filter portion and clean the outer part of the throttle, but I read that I am supposed to be able to open the blade and clean the interior of the blade? Is that only possible when we step on the fuel pedal? How to do that if i am only 1 person. sad.gif
And regarding the spray, is it just press and spray into the body throttle and that's it?

Thanks and appreciate for any advice. smile.gif

you can view the step by step picture guide in savoc.net.. register and read or view the image.. open up box, open 4 bolt (size 10 if not mistaken).. either unplug wire or without unplug.. use wd40 or contact cleaner to clean inside the trottlebody and trottleplate (that plate inside.. u can use your finger to move it..)
then plug back everything.. do the soft reset (again view savoc.net for instruction).. and volla~ if still jerk on low gear, need to clean the tdc (crank case sensor).. look like butterfly. this one a bit hard to reach but easy to clean.. same.. search for the guide in savoc.net please..

QUOTE(hcgui @ Mar 1 2012, 04:57 PM)
my manual savvy has modified its tdc sensor for almost 2 years now. since then, no more 2nd gear jerking or hard to start prob. never clean also since modification.

recently changed tyres to Kumho KH17 @ RM165/piece. ori size at 165/60R14. much better than NCT 5, quieter, softer side wall n better grip!
*
well, mine also.. 2 year trouble free from jerk but i still clean my tb to make sure no jerking at low gear.. tdc just recently gave problem to me.. just spray wd40 (if lazy to open tdc and clean) and my ride now jerk free..

this thing sometimes depend on how dirty your surrounding.. and luck also..

sorry for my 2 cent knowledge..
*do read up in previous post and in savoc.net for more detail on DIY and modification on our sweet little renault car.. more then 6 year of knowledge sharing there..

well, thats what i did.. spray the sensor tip point with wd40.. but clean it properly is better..

erk.. if my memory serve me well, the standard pressure is 210/190 right?

yours is ok but if the tyre is wider, maybe need extra pressure.. do ask your tyre shop bout this..

hmm.gif  hmm.gif  3.4 litres if i am not mistaken. Need 4 bottle as far as i know. I used REDLINE MTL 70W80 GL-4 Gear Oil when i first got the car. No comments but so far so good already running 40k km my manual gearbox havun rosak. touch wood*

Transmission Oil TRANSELF TRJ 75W 80W (3.4 lit.) <--- this is what we suppose to use.
*
approx 3.5 liter~

dunno much bout gbox oil.. but did use cheapo rm40 oil (pumped using some sort of lever).. running ok (gear seem a bit hard to change) for nearly a month.. then change back to elf.. using elf cause recommended by mr ho..

wanna try the EO, but a bit expensive side to me.. huhu.. using standard rm85 shell hx7 oil.. buy from tesco.. 5 liter summore.. so far so gooding..

Hi all, I am driving a 2008 Proton Savvy AMT. Recently, about 4 months ago, my aircond started blowing out hot air on the middle RIGHT and RIGHT      hand side of the car. I've refill my aircond gas at least 2 times in 4 months and its still hot.I suspect there's a leak somewhere or maybe even a blockage.Anyone experienced this before? Need help ASAP. tq
*
what mileage is your car? time to over haul the aircond system.. ready rm1k ++.. ask jiash for recommend shop..
he already did his.. most >5 year car will have prob with aircond sooner and later..

*jiash _87 search for his id, he's quite popular selling automotive parts..

u need to testdrive first.. best if u can get a mechanic to check the engine condition..

from looks.. coolant seem not change @ dirty tank.. seat kotor + water damage already.. might need to repair sponge..

buying a 2nd hand car, u must bear in mind.. u need to put aside at least 2k.. in your case 3k cause another 10-15k need to change timing belt = rm600 roughly..

see tires also, need change or not..

*oh ya, better spare another 500 for spindle change.. if this car did not yet change it spindle.. worse case, your tire can fly away.. proton did recall for spindle change for car before 2006..
