QUOTE(Piranha @ Nov 17 2012, 05:44 PM) The AMT auto transmission indicator is on most of the time, it some times goes on and off. Cannot engage into D mode, very difficult to engage into gear 1 or R (have to do it like 5 to 10 times). When at the traffic lights or during traffic jam, it will turn to N and become immobilize! have to push it to the road side and try to start the car again in a few minutes. May not have the guts to drive it to KL! Anybody can help.. cannot find the solution on page 39 |

Anyone knows why my savvy sometimes stay idle at 1k rpm? usually around 900rpm. If happen to reach 1k rpm at idle, the temp will constantly change between 3-4 bar.
This happen with aircond is on. Worst if no aircond... stay in 4 bar and i could feel warm-hot around bonet/ engine compartment from 2-3 feet away. ... btw im going to go away around 10 days. And i will leave my car not being use for the time being. Issit okay if i leave the battery still connected and parking brake is engaged? High temperature could due to radiator tank sumbat, or radiator sensor rosaked unable to trigger your fan, or radiator fan weaken. I solved mine by addind an extra fan infront of aircon condenser. |

1.robotic arm have 6 pcs sensor/pressure switch if i not mistaken, this switch at bottom gearbox. if robotic arm failure working cause of flood or wash car water spray into from side bonnet to fuse box than water drop to robotic arm switch and shock. 2.robotic arm failure affective gear D not working, if use manual gear sometime jump to 2gear. |

richard831,
Please share your experience with Kirol San. It would be interesting to know how an expert would fix the same type of problem! (probably just need to replace some sensors). I sent my car to a nearby workshop and had 2 major parts replaced (gear lever & autobox boom). The gear lever come with a bunch of sensors. Note that these are not the replacement parts (Clutch Set, Clutch Cylinder Kit, Brake Pedal, Accumulator, Electro Pump, Modulator...) proposed by Plotong Service Centre! This workshop is not a sawi specialist but at least managed to change the correct parts, can be used as a last resort. PM me if you need more detail. p/s Page 39 – open bonnet and pour 3 litre of water on the windscreen…[this solution is preventive, use it before you get the yellow auto warning light!] |

QUOTE(JackNg1985 @ May 19 2013, 09:20 AM) Great. Essential, need to be done BEFORE start up the car.The first few things need to prepare will be New batt 2xx Four tyre 7xx Timing belt ? Spark plugs? Engine oil & filter Air filter Gear oil Coolant Radiator fan(heard because of fan died and cause temp up issue and water coolant boiled out) Anymore to check? Others all might still be well. Quite fun driving savvy. Brake pad? 4x absorber? Engine mounting? Can put saga dashboard? Quite hard to pull the front hood , opener failure soon at driver seat there Where should I send my car to do this operation at cheapest cost? 1) Fresh 3 gallons of petrol(about 12 litres). Please drain the old petrol into a safety container, you can recycle it as cleaning detergent later when need to wash spare parts, but do not put it back in your petrol tank. Total pretrol cost RM23 2) Fuel filter. 50 bucks may be, can't remember. 3) Chiplak engine oil and oil filter 1 set. May be get those RM49 full set service promotion will do. Just to make sure rubbish within this 2 years doesn't stuck IN the engine. I know you'll ask why not straight away change to a better engine oil/semi synthetic? Not for this round, we just wanted to use some rubbish oil to flush the engine for now. 4) Check power steering fluid whether sufficient. If not, get a bottle of chiplak gear oil and refill it. Probably RM18. 5) Check brake fluid on master brake pump whether sufficient. If not, get a bottle of chiplak brake fluid and refill it. If the fluid is red color, get a bottle of DOT3 to refill at RM12. If the fluid is yellowish/transparent/light brownish, get a bottle of DOT4 to refill it at RM15. 6) Radiator water need to be change before you start the car. Just to ensure if there's rusted residue does not cycle in the cooling fin and further jammed up your radiator tank. Fill up any tap water for the time being is fine after drain off the old fluids. Water FREE in Selangor, others may be 1cent for 4 litres. 7) Do not switch on air cond at all, until you send for air cond service. Chance of busting your aircond hose/compressor/cooling coil/condensor is great if you switched on aircon for a 2 years stalled car without feeding it gas. Get a piece of paper, write a sign "DONT USE AKON!" and stick on the aircon control console until you send for service. Total estimated price to start then car will be around RM150. None essential, but important to change AFTER the car started. 1) Battery, depending whether you wanna spend that much. I usually budget below 200 for batteries. If I have a choice, I will go for traditional none-maintenance free type. RM150 2) Tyres, currently using China tyres, HiFly HF201 165/60R14. Low rolling resistance, reasonable wet traction, slightly weak on braking point, low road noise, reasonable thread wear. Rm125/donut. RM500 for all 4. 3) Timing belt, Renault Ori RM450 if not mistaken. Plotong Ori RM350. Renault ori good for 65k mileage, Plotong good for 80k. Don't ask me why, but I didn't think much straight away took Plotong after suggested by magician. 4) Professional radiator flush = RM60, replacement coolant concentrate = RM30. Total RM90. 5) Change DOT4 brake fluid = RM60 6) Tesco Fully Synthetic 5W40 at RM89. Renault ori oil filter RM24. Total RM113. 7) Gear oil, I use rubbish oil RM20/litre. Usually I pay RM60 for gear oil change. 8) Engine mounting, if not broken, no need to fix. If shake until vomit, 1 full set Potong original RM450 include labor. 9) Soft wiper blade, Jalan Pasar RM15/pair. Tesco rubber blade RM4.90/pair. Silicone blade, RM25/piece. U decide what u want. I'm using Jalan Pasar RM15. 10) Aircon repair, really depending on what rosak. Worst case scenario everything busted, estimated repair cost for NEW replacement is RM1500. If all second hand/recon parts replacement should be around RM700~800. If nothing goes too wrong, refill R134 gas for RM45 full gas. Rough estimation for worst case scenario without including aircon parts replacement should be slightly below 2000. Other than the above, the rest are all ad hog service. Meaning that, unless your car fail to start already, then only you fix, including sparkplug. My uncles old Cefiro running his stock sparkplug for 20+ years in his RB20 engine. Every few years my other uncle will help him take out the old sparkplug, recalibrate the gap and put them back and it's good as new. I still don't get why people like to keep asking to change sparkplug every 20k km. That's like less than a year. If you must change sparkplug, my personal preference is BOSCH SUPER 4 http://www.mudah.my/Bosch+super+4+spark+pl...ju-18461422.htm ![]() Btw, if your car has been ditched aside for more than 1 year without roadtax, you'll have to send for puspakom inspection before you can renew your roadtax. |
