Hi guys,
Your opinions on the following my planned UNIFI home setup is highly appreciated.
Objective:-
To offload wifi function at Asus RTN16 to 2 separate Wifi AP (G & N).
Wifi G - target user - Android tablets (diff SSID)
Wifi N - Laptops (diff SSID)
For switch, can I just use any switch.
Any recommendation?
Do I need to setup anything or just cucuk saje from RTN16 LAN port to Swicth LAN port?

Are you trying to use existing equipment or are the wifi routers not bought yet?
I went with a simplified solution. I'm currently using Asus RT-N56U and it has dual band 2.4GHz and 5Ghz which is ideal for what you want to intend to do. I use a 8 port Gigabit router as well because I have other desktop PCs but for your usage, you can even scrap out the Gigabit router and use the balance 3 Gigabit ports on the N56U. The RT-56U is powerful enough to handle everything I throw at it.

Asus RT-N56U-> all wired and wireless (BGN on 2.4GHz and BGN on 5GHz) devices
Simple and neat. Something to think about.

LOL, not quite, the simplest setup would be DIR-615 in place of your TP-Link. 9 of 10 UniFi users would have no idea to do what you've done. Especially if they had to flash the WR1043ND themselves.
That's true. But wifi performance on stock DIR 615 is pathetic at best.

you cant judge signal like tat it depends on the location . For further coverage is best you upgrade your router like mine i change to ASUS RT56U now it cover until my neighbour house without issue when last time in my toilet no signal
LOL I got same problem as you. Now with N56U, no more problems and wifi coverage is everywhere.
