One word. Unifi is way faster as its backbone right till user end is connected via fiber optics. U can't compare to 4mbps streamyx to unifi 5mbps. Alot... hell a lot of difference and no so far I never experience such issue as u explained with unifi.

Awesome reply. laugh.gif

The phone need eletricity to function.

Imagine if blackout...phones dead.

Or if the modem are out of order.

Speed now when downloading...< 20kbps.

I miss Streamyx.

You can use old phone but... That will only save your power supply for the cordless phone. When electricity off, BTU is not powered = no phone also. Don't forget that unifi phone is VoIP. It requires digitization (ADC and DAC), decoding and encoding by the BTU. laugh.gif

Too bad contract is two(2) years.
If one(1) year...I might end it since might move to another house next year.

Hated when I saw a red light on the modem sweat.gif
Constant disconnection.

PS: current apartment suxx; unifi made the feeling worsen rolleyes.gif

Same here, no probs on torrents.

IwanAGP, below is the iptv traffic rate for Luxe HD channel. 8.8mbps! Fairly constant, got little bumps in there where the rate goes to 9.3mbps.

Here you can see traffic for both vlan 500 & 600.

If want to use WDS, better use the latest non-UniFi FW, not sure whether the custom UniFi FW has broken the WDS bridge .....

Glad to know my messy+lousy documentation helps, am still junior, am still learning blush.gif ....

Strange that the config file can't work on your RB750GL, it's been a while I didn't play with RB, also didn't update those config files properly, busy workload ..... I suspect may be different batch use different switch chip, so the port layout different ?  hmm.gif
I tried a few more times. Confirm that the 110726 UniFi firmware breaks the WDS on the WR841ND when acting as a remote station, WDS client? (not sure about the terminology). The main station doesn't seem to be affected.
WiFi clients connected to the remote station are unable to ping the main station however wired ones are OK. Seems like someone left out the WLAN from the WDS bridge. Solution is to flash with stock non-UniFi firmware.

I agree it's messy in some places but lousy? No way.

As for the RB750G, you're right, different switch chip, Atheros8316 vs Atheros8327 for the RB750GL.

Yes, you can. No worries. Best to disable the DHCP server or reconfigure it to match and not conflict with your main router.
