Good to know that they're finally solving this. Irbean which service centre did you go to?

Now, hope that they start to solve the leaking absorber caps smile.gif

Here is the pic of my leaking cap. Can see the residue of dried battery water from one of my caps. That's the only cap that gives this problem.

why am I not surprised? Possibly all SC are like this. As a more professional service rather than the common mechanic's flexibility?

I am more familiar with Subang Airport SC. Their phone number is easily reachable, service can be done during lunch hour, and for a small problem, they're willing to take care of it without having to book 1 day in advance or register at counter. Plus, Subang Airport's staff are way friendlier.

I don't know if it's just me.

It's at where you attach the strut tower bar - that white plastic cap that covers the bolt. It doesn't seal the opening properly, thus allowing water to flow inside, causing the area to rust.

Nice. That SC will be on my list. Otherwise, the next closest place would be at the Glenmarie SC - never heard any review from there so far.

Maybe you could try sealing the threads with PTFE tape? PTFE is acid resistant - and it should give a tighter fit. As for the air vent at the cap you could just punch a small hole thru it to let the buildup escape.

Already done wraping with PTFE tape last week. Next week gotta check again for any leaking...

Is it advisable to change the spark plugs during my next 5,000 km. Itchy to change to Iridium dy. tongue.gif

Coz I am a bit skeptical that the OEM plugs can last up to 10,000 km..

Every 5K? That's absurd. My mech recommended me to change the spark plugs every 20K for my Kancil, as a comparison. As for Denso Iridium plugs, they recommend changing it every 48K, after conversion from miles to kilometers. You could probably estimate how long an OEM plug would last from this figure.

Alrite bro. Appreciate your feedback after using Iridium. Perhaps Iridium can be the right pair to Firestorm blush.gif

Sometimes we may have missed out on things when the thread goes along too fast - and things don't get answered. We may not be sure on what to comment as the answer is probably not useful to you as well. It's like replying for the sake of it, it doesn't go anywhere wink.gif

As for the sloshing sound, I guess it's probably your fuel tank. My current car has the occasional sloshing sound as well, and it only happens when my car's tank is about 3/4 full, when there's enough space in it.
