hello everyone,

tomorrow will do my first service, missed 1000 KM mark --> currently 1100+ km, missed abit only..

should i do full service as per suggested by PERODUA? i know engine oil and transmission oil is must change... but gasket?? which gasket they were referring?

anyway, yesterday i just noticed my fog lamp indicator in speedometer is out. not light up even with fog lamp on. will the warranty coverage change the whole speedometer unit or technician just going to fix it??

better if they change it all.... much safer... no risk even if the workmanship of technician is poor... just plug and play..

however i think they will give 'no stock' excuse.....

Wah.. seems like u got the wrong end of the stick. Ask around n u will find that most SA will give discount. I've just got my car yesterday which i put in order 2 weeks before. Even got smart tag + full tank from the SA.  smile.gif
*
yup.. maybe u can't ask for discount but u can always ask for free gift (not a cheapo gifts)...

smart tag + full tank is a good deal.

else u can bargain for car tint but make sure u choose car tint of your choice (else they will only give u a cheapo tint)
i choose car tint that costs rm 488 and i just top up rm 250. SA even give me RM 50 personal money to refuel...

Just serviced my car. The mechanic said the fog lamp indicator isn't suppose to work. Lol!! So the fog lamp indicator is just a dummy... For what put a dummy in there...? Weird.

*
Eh bro... Sorry for the misunderstanding... What I tried to mean is the fog lamp indicator on the instrumental panel.. When the fog lamp is on, the indicator on the instrumental panel didn't light up..
.
Notice there is a indicator right above the person with seatbelt.. U can see it if looking at it

Whats hdr Bro?
*
hahaha it's okay bro...

anyway u guys notice there is a slightly 'snap' sound from behind when the gear change from 1 to 2. then when i stop at traffic light and start moving again from gear 1 to 2 there is no more sound.

i can repeat the sound by turning the restarting the engine and the sound came back during 1 to 2 gear change... suspect the rear axis bar... not sure if this is normal. im quite paranoid about it rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Sorry Bro, I don't really have much knowledge about rims. Forging process is a process to strengthen the rims right? So you mean if I were to buy Advanti Lightweight Rims,  I've to send it for forging or something? Really sorry lol, seriously no knowledge about rims  sad.gif

Btw are our original P2 Rims forged?
*
i dun think we can send the rim for a process by ourselves. forging process is a process during manufacturing whereby it is done while the metal still red hot..

so basically if u want to buy rim, ask what type of alloy is the rim. i think type of metal will be engraved on the rim itself..

Noticed that on the 1.5SE, the ori horn by P2 is really crappy. To add to that, it is installed at the rear of the engine compartment; facing the firewall. So, when you press the horn, the driver receives the horn blast.
Normally, in all cars they are installed at the front (in front of the radiator)
*
That's a really funny design. Yeah had to admit the horn is crappy. Doesn't sound like 1.5 car at all. Haha..

Will d horn instalation void d warranty?

Hi Guys,

I've been waiting for the delivery of my Myvi SE flush type since Sept. At first the SA said the production will commence in January 2012.
But then just 2 days ago he told me the production will be delay till March because they (P2) are now clearing the existing 2011 stock.
Obviously I am very upset about the news. Anyways have any of you guys heard any news about this? Is there some truth in what the
SA is saying?
*
me too was waiting for non-multimedia type since october, but once the SA told me that P2 might kept delaying and delaying (which is true for my case) i've changed my mind to multimedia line... i've should have go with multimedia line to save my waiting time..

bro... how to have those sticker? payment to/postage provided? tongue.gif

been reading back from page 21 since few days ago.... this thread is very fast thread!!

for those that still wondering LBLP's fc, i did record mine and here is it:
(mine is AUTO 1.5SE)

1st refuel: 365km
2nd refuel: 351km
3rd refuel: 313km
4th refuel: 355km
5th refuel: 385km
6th refuel: 336km

everytime i refuel RM50 when the meter started to blink... so the fc accuracy i think is around +- 30km due to range still leave ~30 to 40km before i refuel..

after this I shall record fc using the "full tank" method..

1st refuel & 2nd refuel were using Mobil Ron 95 but switched to Shell Ron 95 and noticed significant acceleration improvement..... icon_rolleyes.gif

Bro GHOSTVIC,
Based on my understanding the RANGE works like "how long the distance u can go based on the remaining fuel".

So when the engine running the fuel decreasing, therefore RANGE is dropping..

Soon to reach 1st 1000km mileage service. We can request for carwash at Perodua SC? unsure.gif

Anything to highlight for first service?
*
Remember to bring ur booklet (the one in plastic bag wif manual) for free labour charge services. Then mention 'first service' to SA in SC.
I remember others ppl in the forum mentioned can request for car wash.. But u hv to confirm with the SC oso...

After you washed your car, did you wipe-dry or just let it dry by itself? It looks like you let it dry by itself hence causing the "mark" you mentioned.
*
Last time I did wipe it dry but by wiping it dry some of the fabric from cloth sticks to the car due to electrostatic attraction.. Today I let it dry.. I think it's time to get some wax treatment to the car?

Ah~ha, get those better quality fabric cloth which will not stick to the car. Pasar malam sells them lot. Usually, I'll not wash the car under sunlight and will not let it dry, otherwise you'll see those "patches".

Waxing / Polishing also requires proper technique, otherwise uneven or "patches" again as well biggrin.gif
*
Haha ya correct bout those hi quality fabrics, need to get better quality one... I bought those fabrics from jusco one, no wonder la got discount, the quality not really nice...

Was thinking send for waxing but darn expensive oso.. RM 80 something (quality ensured one).
