QUOTE(Aeon_Clock @ Feb 20 2012, 10:51 PM)
drove my car today to work, officially got to know this car a lot better. It is VERY high, like sitting an SUV or MPV, no chance of driving it like a low rider car like I always used to. I believe its higher than the old MyVi, confirmed by my friend. Adjusting to this new driving position, it slowly felt good, & comfortable. Gear stick being n the dashboard is a very unique and fun thing too!

At night, the LCD radio looks awesome flex.gif GPS was quite fun to use too, it went - "Thank you for driving safely" when you reach your destination rather than Garmin's "arriving at destination". I also notice it has already pre-set Perodua service outlets etc in the GPS which is quite cool. Destination searching is almost immediate, just type (could use auto-spelling) and viola!

Although, I can't corner confidently right now without anti-roll bar/modifications. The steering also felt weird, being electronically powered. And the rear-view mirror feels kinda insufficient for this car for some reason.

All in all, a much better car than I had expected, can't wait to drive it again tomorrow rclxms.gif

Better yet, each SC provided a lot with their phone number! I just called one of the SC that my fren recommended by just searching it name on the GPS. Great huh!

just received call from SC and ask regarding my battery. They mentioned that they just changed the battery during my 1st service and askif there's any problem on it.

I think its due to leakage problems which reported by few of perodua users.

care to explain this leakage problem? I'm new blush.gif

Looks, bigger always better... But, performance wise, lighter n stronger rims is the best... But, bigger also means heavier, so need to find best compromise lar... But, me, i just go for 15" only... Because the 16 or 17" performance tires cost a bomb!, no money, me poorfag, so settle for 15" only... Lightweight rims for me

I faced the same problem previously, and Segambut SC manage to fix it. They mentioned there's something on the door need to tighten up, and now im happy with it.
Then another sound come from dashboard drawer  sad.gif

Ntah bro. Aritu check xde pape pon kat battery. And xtau pon dorang tukar battery, until they called me just now.
Segambut SC, about 5minutes from my office.

If they changed the same model of Yokohama battery also won't solve the problem. Coz the problem is from the cap itself. I had tried to troubleshoot last weekend, the cap threads are too short. When we tighten it too tight, it will pop up again bcoz of d short threads. I found out one of my cap actually hv this problem.

However, I will try to ask SC that I'm going tomorrow to see whether got any solution or not.

Here is the pic of my leaking cap. Can see the residue of dried battery water from one of my caps. That's the only cap that gives this problem.

What kind of tires Bro..?? Mine 360-380 apiece for 15", but if 16" starting from 480+, and 17" from 550++ something like dat... So go figure... 15" to 16" tires alot difference in terms of price.. 16" is more closer to 17" price... But, if want eco tires, even 200++ can already get 17" tires... China / indo made tires... But, maybe grip not so good.. Tires squealing and screeching on corners at some decent speed... If squealing or screeching still ok, but if squealing and screeching because run out of grip, n then ul just understeer only..

Maybe you could try sealing the threads with PTFE tape? PTFE is acid resistant - and it should give a tighter fit. As for the air vent at the cap you could just punch a small hole thru it to let the buildup escape.

Disappointed with Glenmarie SC. Came for a simple headlight beam adjustment but have to do formal booking first. Plus, during lunch hour, the mechanics are offline. And heck, their number, 03-55691913 is not reachable.

why am I not surprised? Possibly all SC are like this. As a more professional service rather than the common mechanic's flexibility?
