i change gameux.dll to gameux.dll.bak b4 but now i was unable to update it.. how to restore it back? i installed back unlocker but still unable to use it so i delete gameux.dll.bak at SysWOW64 still can't update..

Added on March 14, 2012, 11:31 amsolved dy.. just delete microsoft windows essential! if install back msn the issue will appear again...

i just received the same update and it failed to update.

I am very interested to get the DV6-6C19TX model. Just out of curiosity, what is the brand of RAM that comes with the laptop? Is it Kingston?

I'm just asking as I'd like to get another 4gb stick, and would like to get the same brand if possible to avoid any hardware conflict between the RAM or is it ok to use different brands of RAM together?

Kingston works perfectly fine (my additional 4gb RAM is a kingston). If I recall correctly, the one that came with the laptop is from hynix.

I'm getting HP Pavilion dv6-6c19TX model. I'm wondering what's the suitable cooler for it and the price range would be below 100.

CoolerMaster Notepal U3 is the best choice under 100.

my stock 4gb ram stick is from Elpida, my additional 4gb Kingston ram is also using Elpida Chipset. Elpida is filing for bankruptcy, i am unsure there's anymore Elpida ram in the current/future HP models

Greetings, I am looking for upgrading my Pavilion DV5, was thinking, naturally, about DV6. DV6-6110eh suits me the best.
Now I have a question before I decide. Service manual for DV6 says that Intel based laptops have possibility of using additional 160GB SSD (part number: 641825-001). I was wondering if anyone can confirm this?

hi guys, im an owner of dv6 since last year. recently, my lappy's internal fan
had started to make loud sound upon bootup, sounding much like a dying fan.
Anyone ecountered this problem b4? Is the fan replaceable? Where is the HP service centre in KL?

not mse but microsoft windows essentials like like live windows messenger lah... meaning just uninstall MSN that all! it will auto update it.. win7 bug that cause rundll32.exe & gameux.dll can't change 2 gameux.dll.bak already by using unlocker. previously is working to prevent rundll32.exe running.. i update successfully dy..

Mine came with 1x4GB Samsung ram and i added another 4GB from Kingmax. So far no problem.

Only on boot up?

Additional as in secondary drive? Not possible for DV6 unless you remove the ODD and add a drive caddy.

Hello guys, I tried to play the Mass effect 3 on my dv6 c19tx but the error msg pop out said my driver not updated with nvdia physx. So how do i solve it?

Install the physx driver? It come with the installer.

Hum, the physx support the ati driver?? I didnt understand....

Just think of PhysX as another version of DirectX and it'll be fine.

On an unrelated note, anyone feels that their dv6 is more sluggish after the latest windows update? I feel a significant decrease in CPU performance for mine... Chrome is opening ALOT slower now. ME3 used to be silky smooth but now it's... smooth without the silky-ness lol.

Ran CCleaner and Disk Defrag to optimize it. Back to normal again.
