those who ordered/bought can check ur status here https://h20497.www2.hp.com/os/simpleView.tcl

FYI HP office close down between 26th Dec 2011 - 1st Jan 2012... not sure will the production and delivery will be delayed... Its assembled in China and direct shipped from China.. so it will take some time.... so those who ordered/bought it will need to be patient, especially with this coming dual festive season
*
You're lucky man. I checked mine since I ordered (17 Dec) and it still hasn't even entered production. Last update was on 20 December summore. Their system hasn't updated my status at all I guess.

Oh not sure "submitted" comes first or "processing". My printer is "submitted" too.

U didnt upgrade to 3 years warranty? FYI extending warranty must be done within 60day of, not sure date of receive thr laptop OR date of ordered/payment, thats is wat i get from the sales rep.

Yeah I know that the warranty can be extended but can buy separately right? I see people on Garage Sale selling 3 Year Care Pack for cheaper prices smile.gif

Based on that source and sentence, to my understanding, it means that once you BUY the CARE PACK, you have to activate the CARE PACK within 10 days of purchase.

But it still doesn't explain how long we have till the CARE PACK service doesn't apply once we purchased our laptops.

hey guys, i wonder any of you guys play dc universe online using hp pavilion dV6-6001TX or dV6-6C19TX? does the game run smoothly on the laptop? i checked the dc universe online website they said that the recommended specifications is

Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7
3.0 GHZ CPU Dual Core Processor
2 GB RAM
NVIDIA 8800GTX+ or ATI 3800 series+ Video Card
30 GB of Free Hard Drive Space
Broadband internet connection

i checked the hp online store and the DV6-6C19TX's processor is Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM (2.2 GHz, 6 MB L3 Cache)....

since it is 2.2 GHz does the laptop run dc universe online smoothly?

i not sure about DV6-6001TX's processor... so mind helping please if anyone of you play the game...  icon_question.gif

That should be alright. If it meets the Mininum Requirements then it should be okay. Just don't go into heavily populated areas. Your processor will struggle to render everything lol.

this are comperation from hd6770m 1 gb gddr5 with hd7690m xt
[attachmentid=2619065][attachmentid=2619076]

are this mean hd6770 are better then hd7690m xt
for example
1. bandwidth
hd6770=51.2gb/s
hd7690=2.6gb/s

2. gpu clock and memory
hd6770=725mhz  800mhz
hd7690=100mhz  41mhz

3. texture fillrate
hd6770=17.4 g texel/s
hd7690=2.4g texel/s

on all this data between hd 6770 and hd 7690 xt...
my question its...its better perform or beside that...
i think rclxub.gif

No la, Vincent's GPU-Z is reporting the Intel HD Graphics instead of the AMD 7690M XT. Turn on performance mode?

Alright so, I'm done optimising my Windows, set up recovery discs and all that so now I'm planning to add another 4GB of RAM to my laptop.

Can anyone suggest any dealers on LYN/shops that sell compatible ones for the dv6?

And more importantly, an installation guide? (Just in case I screw up lol)

Thanks in advance.

Hmm my DV6 detected my graphics card as a 6700M series instead of a 7690M XT after installing the latest Catalyst drivers.

Is this something to worry about?

11.12? i don't think it has proper naming for 7000 series yet. You might need to wait for this or next month driver. Does the default clock still showing 725/900 after u installed latest AMD driver?
*
No idea. MSI Afterburner didn't show any numbers at all and all was blank sweat.gif

Uninstalling the Catalyst seems to make it detected as a 7690M XT again though. Oh well. Got to be patient then.

Those naming are given thru driver .inf file matching the Device ID. Only HP .inf file will name the card correctly, AMD driver will name it as AMD Radeon HD 6700M Series.

I've check .inf from 11.12 and 12.1-prev, there is no HD 7600M Series yet but that doesn't mean the card won't work accordingly.
*
I see well, till then I'll stick with the AMD drivers then. Don't seem to be able to overclock it at the moment though.

On a side note, anyone can tell me how to clean the fingerprint smudges off the laptop lid? It's very annoying and ugly la when it's there. Not that obvious from far but quite obvious on close inspection.

Hmm.. try check if u accidently disabled PowerPlay or force 8xAA
You can use Sapphire Trixx or MSI Afterburner for non-oc more features.
*
Tried both MSI Afterburner and Sapphire Trixx. Both won't let me go its factory settings. I've tried doing the unofficialoverclockingmode=1 thing for Afterburner and it still won't let me go. It's all stuck at 0 blink.gif

Forgot u not using 6000 series sweat.gif  .. u need to include Trixx or MSI executable into CCC High-Performance GPU whitelist or set graphic switching method to FIXED in BIOS and use High-Performance GPU.
*
Switched the BIOS to fixed and it worked. Thanks smile.gif

Seriously though, anyone know of anything to clean the smudgy fingerprints off the laptop lid? Using my spectacles cloth and it works, albeit slowly.

Gotta say. Bumped my core clock/memory clock to 800/900 and AC: Revelations runs ALOT smoother than when it did before. No more stuttering and minor lag. Feel damn satisfied.
