Guys, using the 6001tx here.
Since a few months back my laptop has been really slow as in REALLY slow.
Boot time everything.
Even surfing LYN on Chrome will be laggy->not responding-> crash.
It was never like this before.
And the fan, is really noisy.
And the heat coming out from the vent is really hot, I put my cup of water beside it, the water turned warm after awhile.
This has never happen before, and when I sleep my laptop, and when I switch it on again, the wireless driver,ati will crash.
Any idea what's wrong with it ?
This laptop cannot die, I have so much uni work in it

Nope, just really hot air coming out from the vent.
Oh btw, what's the new HP driver and the Ati driver for the laptop ?
I wanna install them, might solve the Ati crashing issue.

there's this program rlvknlg.exe *32, the description is relevant knowledge.
it's taking up quite some of the memory, like 500,000k at times.
what is this ?

I'm using the driver you recommend from leshcat.
after the ogre patch, my dota 2 starts to lag.
before this i can play on high settings, but now it spikes.
i can confirm it's not the internet connection problem.
now when I alt+tab, to dota 2, at first the screen will be okay, then a few seconds later the screen turns brighter.
did you encounter this problem ?
it's really bad, it lags the whole game.
i off the v-sync but everything else is still high.
any help ?

I read the d2 forum, most of them ask me to upgrade to the latest leshcat driver which is "Catalyst 12.3 UP2 UnifL for Hybrid Graphics".
So I upgraded, but the "screen flickering" thing still occurs when I alt+tab.
It's annoying because when I alt tab back into d2, the brightness is just nice, then like 2 secs later, it becomes slightly brighter.
Not sure how to describe it, but it's something like that

my friend also had this problem but he's on nvdia instead of ati.
he said there's something to do with the brightness settings but I'm not sure how to set that because it was fine all the while

Eh eh apparently fixed the problem already.
I just set it to border-less window
So should I go back to 12.2 or stay at 12.3 leshcat Acid ?

do you know the console for dota 2 to see the FPS ?
I'll test it out later. And will prolly reinstall back to 12.2
