Nokia shop at mines also already display the banners, but also no demo yet, they said will be available at Friday. The release is nationwide, but the event only held at our capital and maybe some others big city. Lumia 710 for 999 damn cheap! (with spec almost similar to htc radar), and Lumia 800 for 1650. With Nokia Drive and Navigator, this device is really worth the money. Too bad i just recently bought HTC radar. sigh..
Honestly im glad Nokia and Microsoft team up, Nokia is the real hp maker, and Microsoft is the real OS hardware maker (unlike google) so we can expect continuous support from this giant. But without Nokia, idont think Microsoft will ever care about us at small nation. Nokia has been in Asia for long time already, common sense if its not because of Nokia, WP7 and Marketplace will never officially available in Malaysia. So guys, raise your support to Nokia! and Microsoft (So they can improve this nice phone os)! This post has been edited by pzo: Feb 7 2012, 08:09 PM |

Hi,
I came acrosss a review on Nokia Lumia and there are two interesting infomation and hope that it is true. 1) current OS is upgradable to Windows Phone 8 2) USSD http://www.techcentral.co.za/lumia-800-rev...oos-back/29158/ This post has been edited by GuestX8: Feb 7 2012, 08:23 PM |

we should see at least one or two more full platform updates for 1st gen Windows Phones.
As for USSD support, yeah.. that's a big problem for us. I'm pretty certain they don't use it much in the US that's why no one thinks its a big deal to fix it over there. hopefully this wrong gets right soon. |

Hope that Nokia with its world wide experience would know some sense into Microsoft. Damn, so frustrating that we're in this "developing economy". It annoys me to no end that none of our carriers have web based equivalents to their USSD star codes. Maxis's solution to topping up your broadband data plan on the iPad is to pop out your micro SIM card from the iPad itself and place it in some phone that uses a micro SIM card (and not that many phones use micro SIM either) and dial the USSD code. This is the same damn solution they suggest for Windows Phones. How can you sell stuff which you don't even support? Holy mother of god, is it so hard to hire 1 programmer to code this into their website? If I was working there, it would take me 1 day to code it in. Annoys me to no end. |
