my astro byond pvr decoder always hang and after that it reboot automatically. I just install it last Sunday and last night this thing happened. every 10-15min it will hang...anyone experience the same problem?

Yes this minister, NEVER walked the talk, maybe he wl say "kerajaan setuju untuk lanjutan masa......." then we wl hv the usual election trailers of BN running very soon on all ass channels 

Assteruk has always been breaking promises. As I mentioned before, an assteruk ex-engineer I've met once told me that assteruk has no rights to tamper with the incoming feed as it's a violation of the contracts with the providers. And yet assteruk censor MTV, censor news (BBC's anger was understandable, assteruk wasn't supposed to tamper with their feed as per the contract), advertisements injected into the signal, etc.

Assteruk has been playing dirty for years, and not only they're allowed to get away with it, they're practically given "protection" from competitors and given rights to monopolize channels (i.e. ensure channels they're carrying cannot be carried on competing networks) by the gomen. This has to stop.

Astro customer service really sucks.

They promise 48 hours to fix problem but they only called me at 60 hours after reporting problem.

Worst still, the solution is really childish, instead of finding out what are the real problems, they decide to just change the whole decoder !

All my recorded programs are gone !

This is a stupid and lazy way to solve problems.
All those BEST OF THE BEST AWARD are all bullshit ! More like WORST OF THE WORST AWARD  should be given to ASTRO.

1.  is it correct for me to attribute the fault to the cables or there is no such thing?

2. is there a way to measure the quality of picture we are seing?

ESS brings Spanish football to local shores

Regional - Sports content provider ESPN STAR Sports has secured exclusive rights to broadcast the Spanish La Liga football matches until 2015 across 19 markets in Asia.

As the official broadcaster of the La Liga matches on multiple platforms, ESS hopes to attract advertisers in the mobile, FMCG, retail and consumer electronics space across local and regional markets.

It will provide coverage through its broadcast channels on its television, online through its ESPN Player, and Mobile ESPN.

To allow local viewers more convenience, the matches will also be scheduled earlier from 6pm and 12 midnight. 

According to ESS MD, Manu Sawhney (pictured), the acquisition of Spanish La Liga underlines its commitment to football fans in Singapore.

Sawhney said ESS had established a strong tradition of building top-class football properties on its networks.

"We are committed to work towards further strengthening the profile of the league in the market."

Earlier this year, ESPN Star Sports also partnered with Grey Group Singapore to create a digital campaign for Singapore football fans with the start of the FA Cup. ESPN is also the official broadcaster of the London 2012 Olympic Games and will be providing round the clock coverage.

It would've been nice if ABN to coverage the non-coveraged of Unifi area soon...

Well, IMO, no, Assteruk is still comfortable. Unless fiber rollout speed is increased to rival that of Thailand (they manage to rollout fiber to cover whole nation in a matter of months! Here we are at the second year and it's still only many (not all) towns of West Peninsula Malaysia! Even Georgetown in Penang dun have, only Bayan Lepas!), Assteruk will still enjoy being in the lead. Also, from what I heard, due to some stupidity by TM some areas will never get fiber rollout (i.e. Industrial parks where internet usage is supposedly low. Nevermind that high-tech industries like R&D labs need blazing fast fiber HSBB to conduct business- it's like gomen is trying to discourage formation of high-tech industries).
