QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Dec 27 2011, 04:08 PM) that's co-broke deal but you still only need to pay your share of 1/2 month and owner pay 1/2 month. the 2 agents have to share it themselves. probably the owner cheat you into coming out his/her half as well? Ya duno my agent told me wat co broke deal. But she said i have to bear alone the 1 month agent fees wor zzz

QUOTE(heavenhell @ Dec 27 2011, 04:12 PM) Ya duno my agent told me wat co broke deal. But she said i have to bear alone the 1 month agent fees wor zzz ask your agent go fly kite. http://www.citi-relocation.com/generalterms.htmlQUOTE Co-broke When brokers are working on a 'co-broke' basis, they are sharing exclusive listings with each other. In a co-broke transaction, one broker will represent the buyer or renter, while the other will represent the owner of the property. The commission is usually split 50/50. 1 year lease = 1 month agent fee, of which the tenant's agent (i.e. your agent) takes half, and the landlord's agent takes the other half. If your agent ask you to pay 1 month that means somehow they pakat to make you pay all the commission. your agent is supposed to represent your interests. I signed a 2-year lease on my rental and I only paid 1 month agent fee to my agent (landlord paid 1 month to her agent). This post has been edited by rexona: Dec 27 2011, 04:17 PM

QUOTE(totti 10 @ Dec 27 2011, 09:59 AM) WTF happened to this thread. anyway @rexona The min salary for EP Q1 was increased to $3000 @Gengarbear to quit RM5k job for $3.5 job, personally i think you are losing out. Perhaps you also have to compare how is the career growth between these 2 options that you have? Talking about LinkedIn, anybody wanna do some career connections? but professionally la, not to laugh2 wan what rexona posted is technically correct based on the time she/he/it posted, Q1 EP which increased to SGD3000 only come into effect on 1/1/2012. btw u got PM.

QUOTE(rexona @ Dec 27 2011, 12:12 PM) anyways, LTA statistics for cars registered between jan-nov 2011! BMW 4,495 Porsche 567 Maserati 85 Ferrari 82 Proton 73Bentley 55 Lamborghini 42 Rolls Royce 36 Perodua 14I can't understand why Proton / Perodua are still able to sell cars here. The Proton Saga 1.3 is $89k, which is about the same price as the Suzuki Swift, and more expensive than the Kia Cerato 1.6. Or you could add about $10k and get a Toyota Vios, which is a vastly superior car. 1Malaysia spirit. There is no other reason. QUOTE(kockroach @ Dec 27 2011, 12:25 PM) Actually my 2 cent, I came here with the same pay I got back in Malaysia, dollar to dollar. But what I am looking is not the offer on hand, but the room to growth in the future. I'm also getting the same dollar to dollar salary, twice to be exact. Anyhow, IMO it's getting harder and harder to get dollar to dollar salary especially in experienced hires. Some companies practice the Chinaman employment policy and push the candidates to the corner, forcing them to take up the offer that worth less that what they should be..

In here at least I can save 75%. not everybody can live day in day out on a shoestring college student budget. as salary rises, so would most people's standard of living / expenditure. like me, sure i can survive by renting a utility room for $300; but it's much more comfortable to come home to my own (rented) unit where i can laze on the couch, watch whatever TV i want, come and go as i please, be as dirty or loud or noisy as i please without having any housemate conflicts.

Also, do folks who purchase BMWs, Mercs or Audis care about resale values? Only the poorer ones or penny-pinchers like yourself would bother about such matters.

The landlord only want 1 year lease so only can take 1 year lo. Frm that guideline means 1 year lease 1 month agent fees but my agent say each individual pay to their agent, meaning landlord pay 1 month to his agent and i pay 1 month to my agent ar?
