Can't do anything about rental: Fine with it so far as it includes utilities bill, all furniture (inc. room wall mounted LCD tv), aircond and internet.

that's co-broke deal but you still only need to pay your share of 1/2 month and owner pay 1/2 month. the 2 agents have to share it themselves.  probably the owner cheat you into coming out his/her half as well?

if i read it correctly, not more than 24 months is 1 month rental.
every subsequent yearly renewal is half a month.
why not sign 2 years straight?
i mean if i understand correctly
1 year lease = 1month, 2nd year renewal = 1/2 month...total 1.5 months
2 years lease = 1 month
Unless u are planning to move around and stuffs, won't a 2 year lease be better?

then u can nego with the landlord.   
if my point is valid, the landlord might reconsider.
who wants to pay extra half a month rent right?
unless he intends to increase rent the following year to the extend that it can cover the agent fee.   

Eh what agency is your agent from? Regardless one year or two year lease also pay 1month agent fee from both tenant and landlord side is like cheating, must let us know so that we can avoid agents from those agencies next time

I suggest u contact other agent and check it out. I rented 1 yr in Oct 2010 for half month commission only. Then in Oct 2011 I rented 2 year for one month commission.
But if u signa dn pay already, too bad lor.
If havent u can just try check around for other places, and fake fake ask them about commission policy lor

Maybe the agent is not license one.

If u do business development, MBA definitely better than CIMA or PMP.
CIMA and PMP is more towards practical/technical kinda skills, whereas MBA teaches u "how to bullshit" to be blunt. ALso MBA it's a networking opportunity within ur MBA tenure.  Im guessing BD means u nid to look for new business area (similar to marketing). Hence CIMA or PMP would bring u as much benefits as MBA.
