so the problem is which employement visa should I best apply for ?

eh, you don't apply yourself, company applies for you. EP is $2.8k a month and above, as long as you're offered that much the company should apply EP for you.

QUOTE(Def @ Dec 27 2011, 12:34 AM)
BOTH OF US are the laughing stock in the accounting profession because we have the same kacang putih qualification CPA (Aus) that has no market value.
It's only you I'm afraid. It's served me quite well. 90% of the jobs I'm interested in look for someone who's legally qualified to practice. That's about all there is to it. As for all your cut and paste... as long as the governing bodies and other professional bodies recognise CPA, that's irrelevant.

Yeap, we can trade Linkedin profile if that's your wish. Your Linkedin profile is under what name? I will put up mine under Def or my actual name. When you want it?
If you don't mind, PM me your Linkedin profile. I'll connect to you. We can always delete each other after laughing.

Seantang only knows how to cry out loud cry.gif I think he will also cry out cry.gif in front of his boss if he has a fallout with colleagues.
Do you want to keep this civil, or go all kindergarten? Don't you think it's childish behaviour like this that people laugh at, instead of which qualification?

Since when this thread turn into "how to get a wife" thread?

Btw, I am confused why the argument over professional qualification occurs here, I can say I do well compare to most of my friend with better qualification.

hey guys,
Malaysian here with diploma qualification in Physiotherapy and 2 years working experience and a special certificate for skill that a singaporean company requires me to work for them. so the problem is which employement visa should I best apply for ?
the employer told me that might gotta go for S-pass and somehow S-pass is better than EP but I check online EP has a higher salary range and no quota. my salary will be around3k-3.5k SGD so taiko here can give me some advice? if EP needs degree but SP don't need it.
1.so how long will it usually takes for the application process to go through until employement date?
2. will be be hard to get my employement visa to be approved based on my qualification?
3. is 3k-3.5k salary worth for me to quit a 5k job in malaysia?
4. is 3.5k consider high? I'm quitting medical health care field to join this swiss company to be their clinical application specialist for their advanced medical equipment product. so medical healthcare or medical product line has better career prospect in SG?

Just want to know. Is it possible to request for a higher salary if you are not entitled for CPF? The reason why i ask this is because there is no chance of me getting a PR anymore since I denouced my PR because i did not want to do national service. I just want to know since this is the case, is it possible for me to request my employer for a higher salary since i know that for singaporeans the CPF that is given is normally 16%

some employers pay their contribution towards cpf into the employee's salary if the employee is not singaporean or pr.
whether u are in high regards from the employer's perspective to be entitled for that "benefit" is another matter.

i heard it's pretty hard for someone who denounced their pr to even get a work pass ? You could ask for the sky but will the employer give you ? I've know cases of employer giving the employee the company's cpf portion.
