How did people actually still get electrocuted by instant water heater?

I  thought all the components like the outflow pipe, shower head are now not made of metal?

Even domestic rubber glove will conduct electric if the voltage are high, for domestic 230v is safe, but for 11kv maybe not. Its all depend the voltage.

Install near your bathroom switch is better. Nearer and you can test it convenient.

But the MAX guard RCCB picture is not wall mounted type. It is a DIN rail type or DB box. So you can't mount on wall like a wall socket.

Installation is not difficult. But still need some basic electrical knowledge and safety to handle.

That's what i thought too. Near the on/off switch.

The GE RCCB I saw in the shop also this type. Hager also same.

Yes can mount on the wall. The shop showed me the RM2.00 plastic RCCB wall housing, all covered up with a square opening at the center for switch and test button.

Well, if it doesn't look ugly and industrial look, you can install it. But my imagine of this rccb mount on wall doesn't look nice. I rather get the eBay 1, since the price not different much.

Somehow there is a loophole on this water heater. Probably manufacturing keep it secret from public.

Is the price list for "used" or new? If new that not that expensive.

I just bought an Alpha Smart i18 instant heater. Cost alone oledi 600+

But I supposed for storage heater, you have to factor in the copper piping, that will really jack up the final cost.

Hopefully by next year can save enough budget......

All things will spoil eventually. Oil Seal, crack that cause the water leak and conduct current. Quality of the product are important.

Using two in my house. Nothing to comment, it perform what it build for, i.e. heating up water.

There is a breather hole/pipe, this will leak some water out and need to pipe it. If your plumber experience he will know how to do it.

The price on the Joven storage is list price, its much cheaper after discount. Cheaper than any instance heater with build in pump.

Installation is another story.

My new house has a heater point on the concrete roof slab, right next to the water tank.
(Don't know what developer was thinking)

Can this type of storage heater be mounted on top? In open air.

May be is for pump, not storage.

- Is the element original from Joven?
- How is your storage placed? If you did not place properly air may be inside and the heating element is heating the air instead of water.

Heating element won't spoil so fast, what was the cause of failure? Did you ask the technician?

If want, change to Rinnai Gas biggrin.gif much better.

I dont think Elton is Italian. It's made by a local company, if not mistaken taken over Ignis and turn it into Elton.
I used an Ignis storage heater for 9 years. Used Joven storage heaters for 7 years. No problem.

Maybe you need to change the whole thing instead of just the element. Go ahead and try Elton this time around. Just like some light fixtures, certain bulbs always blows much faster than the rest for no apparent reason.
