hi guys.. do u all have any recommendations for storage water heaters? have been looking around and joven seems to be a decent brand..

looking for at least a 50L tank and hopefully it can be slim as my ceiling height is about 10ft

Using two in my house. Nothing to comment, it perform what it build for, i.e. heating up water. 

There is a breather hole/pipe, this will leak some water out and need to pipe it. If your plumber experience he will know how to do it.

Installed Q3 2011, start using Dec 2011 till now. Nothing change.

- Is the element original from Joven?
- How is your storage placed? If you did not place properly air may be inside and the heating element is heating the air instead of water.

Heating element won't spoil so fast, what was the cause of failure? Did you ask the technician?

If want, change to Rinnai Gas much better.

I like to raise everyone concern on Water Heater

Today, there is another dead from Water Heater during Shower

The Water goes through a Compartment , which is made of Plastics & Inside is the heating Element.

A Good Brand, Japanese made, uses PA66 or what you may known as Nylon
The Best PA66 does not break. therefore it does not leak water

A bad design brand, in which I have seen uses PP or Polypropylene + other stuff. You've seen PP everywhere, like those coffee shop Chairs.
They will break in which the water will leak and touches the Board.
The Current then will follow the water and electrocute you.

So please make the right choice to benefits you
