Greetings,

I would like to ask if in what conditions or settings that the x10 produces the white orb (i know it's been ask numerous of times..but i dont see any so far...) batch number 21MXXX.... would it be recommended just to sent it for a sensor replacement eventho so far most pictures taken doesnt really show the "white orbs"..

Need all the great advices from all the x10 sifus here!

Many thanks and really appreciate it!

i would think the orbs mostly show in some form of auto mode, seeing as on mine i dont really see huge orbs like others have posted.

21M should be ok already. But you can try shoot at ISO 100 pointing at some light bulbs and see if there's some highlight bleeding or orbs.

Never knew our x10 can produce such nice street lamp star image tongue.gif
Old sensor or new sensor they are usually just messy blobs. whistling.gif
Must try to shoot some streetlamps with tripod to see if I can get them
to look like yours tongue.gif

Wow that is really a nice shot. The street light is good.

By the way, I realized mine after changed the sensor, sometime have problem in focusing. Sometime it focus and the whole image shows in the LCD is blur. Have to focus again. Then sometime unable to focus too. Anyone have this problem?

thanks thanks... i just bought myself hercules screen protector for the x10 in sg... currently in sg for a night.. lols.. it's SGD18 per piece... but took freaking long time to put it on...wasnt too happy with the amount of dust trapped between the LCD and the SP..finally minimized the amount after an hour of applying...gave up...lols...

bought another extra hercules 40mm filter for SGD30 and lens cap attachment for SGD2.50 and a 3rd party lens cap (ugly looking one) SGD5..

btw...just a noob question yet again... would the marumi multicoat filter cause that starlight effect on the street lamps? or is it the x10 lens?

we should organize an x10 gathering session! smile.gif

Forgot to post back here after sending in my x10 for the sensor change and focus error issue.

Sent it my camera on a friday, went there and was told by the security guards that no one was around, said all of them went for company trip. He said only got a representative there, I told him nvm I just want to send my camera for repair. Parking is horrible at Fujifilm Glenmarie, damn small space and the guards are bloody rude.

Left my camera to a college girl at the counter who knows nothing and I had to teach her where to tick in the repair from. She told me the technician will call me when they're back from Japan on the following wednesday. I didn't get any call till thursday afternon telling me that my x10 is ready for collection. Went there again the next day, and screw the stupid guards for asking me to move my car again & again after I park, that also according to their instructions.. really stupid banglas

Went in and collected my x10, noticed that the zoom barrel was longer compared to the old one, and the zoom ring is much smoother, image wise I don't have much to comment as I haven't really compare in details but so far everything is fine. Thumbs up to fujifilm malaysia for the prompt service but pls change your security guards. They're a bunch of rude and foolish banglas!

some of the 15 functions in the Q menu already have their dedicated buttons
like WB, flash, timer and ISO (Fn). so can they be replaced by other functions like
face detection and digital zoom ? Anyone know ? hmm.gif

Updated mine to. The new art filter not bad. Nice to play. Yup I think with the effect, the LCD screen shows quite laggy compare to the normal. Should be due to the effect added.

my one word review of fuji xf-1.
sux, bad, crap, hopeless - take your pick of any of those words.

the way it turns on feels so flimsy, nothing like x10.
then one of the demo units in KLPF also the mode dial completely broken / loose.
then i look at bottom, it says 'made in china' biggrin.gif

Added on October 7, 2012, 10:49 pmbut the xe-1...oh man...definitely feels better in the hands than x-pro1...and i dont miss the OVF at all.
