yahoo unifi contractror called me to confirm i`m at home. hehe.

I heard from a guy at Sri Computers today that if you purchase a WR1043ND from LY, you can just bring it up to TP-Link Service center on 4th Floor and they can flash custom firmware for Unifi. Can anyone confirm this and does it work?

If you know what you are doing, you can flash it yourself too.

Guys, i have some inquiries about unifi here:

1. we must pay for 2 month first during the activation fees right? example vip5 which is rm150 per month so must prepared rm300.
2. extra charges that we not known of after while installing the unify. for installment at house it free as stated in promotion right?
3. i live in apartment in first floor. * the apartment have 4 top floor, what status am i in? any other extra charges?
4. would i receive an television channel? it it free? plan to quit astro and move on tho these channel provided with the Unifi.
5. how long would it take before i have the access to the internet via unify?

* i really need to know more about the no.2 and no.3, in fact i once heard a case which the unify charges him rm700 on the first bill. * vip5.. really need more info about it since i do not have the luxury to spend a whopping rm700 for the installment alone ;(

1. I am not sure is the free 1 month still valid or not. For my case, i paid only RM149 on the first bill, since I am on the 1 month free promotion.

2. Extra charges? They only only charge you extra if u asked them to do extra job, such as conseal cable, or they are pulling the fiber cable more than 15M. For me, I've done all the researching and pull the cat5 cable myself. Fiber is place inside casing, hence no extra cost.

3. I lived apartment and I am getting fiber, not copper. It all depend our TM for high rise. Most high rise will get copper where they will used back their existing phone line. For my case, they pull a fiber straight from my riser box, hence my old copper is not being used.

4. Limited TV channel only. It's free. If you wan more then you need to per channel.

** If they are charging more then just called up TM to confirm. All charge will be recorded on the bill, and not to pay them up directly.

Hi, anyone of you guys using MikroTik RB751u Router for unifi...? is there anyone with a valid configuration settings? I wanted to access Klseet sit but its site over bandwidth limit. I am stuck on a particular step. on the bridging part... after i deleted the original bridge like one of the guide says, i cant access the configurations anymore... I have already reset the setting to factory settings again.

any sifu can help me...?

I have done hard reset... because of my MikroTik has WiFi so it has an additional local bridge. should i leave it alone?

why dont u just put it into that bridge that your wifi is using ?

since wifi can cross to lan and vice versa.. its consider the "same" under the same bridge..
