Hey guys, got a question on my Unifi problems. Ever since I installed Unifi last Friday, it seems like every day there seems to be a new issue. Firstly on Saturday morning, I discovered that I couldn't connect to the Internet and my VOIP was down. Called the Unifi SC and they told me that if I off my modem at night, it may miss some config changes that are "pushed" out during maintenance. After a short troubleshoot, OK redi. Then on Sunday morning, I saw the WAN status light on my router was blinking rapidly in orange, couldn't connect to the Net and HyppTV was down (VOIP OK tho). Called up the SC again, and they said that my connection needed to be "refreshed". After some more troubleshooting, OK again. Or so I thought... Barely a few minutes later, same problem and total loss of Net & HyppTV. Now SC says they'll send over a techie to have a look. I'm still waiting for that to happen.
Does this sound symptomatic of a router problem (stoopid DR-615) or some more fundamental line connection issues. I'm staying at a townhouse which has VDSL2 to our fibre. I've been reading on LYN how ppl hv successfully switched over to TP routers and enjoyed problem-free Unifi. Looking to go down that path too. Any comments?

QUOTE(DrBlueBox @ Dec 28 2011, 07:24 PM) Had quite the same problem last night as I have a hard time getting connected whenever I reset my router. Changed the router to Asus N13U but the same problem occurs. Called TM and they say problem might be on their side. At work today they sms me saying the problem is fixed, and when I got home, I found my HyppTV is running (I usually let it on standby mode since I rarely watch it). they must have pushed some updates, but yeah, the line is fine for now Thanks for the input Blue! It seems so funny to me that only my Internet services are affected. Yesterday I was able to watch HyppTV with no probs but cant connect to the net at all. TM has just SMS'd me that they are escalating the case tot eh technical team so I'll wait for them to poke around and see whats wrong. How do I go about claiming rebates for the days when my Net was down? Just send them an email and cc aduansksm?

I heard from a guy at Sri Computers today that if you purchase a WR1043ND from LY, you can just bring it up to TP-Link Service center on 4th Floor and they can flash custom firmware for Unifi. Can anyone confirm this and does it work?
