QUOTE(messi.78 @ Nov 2 2017, 12:35 PM) I have decided invest PRS with CIMB funds.. I saw that they have "do it for me"or "do-it-myself"options.. Which one that you guys choose? If "do-it-myself"option, how do you allocate your contributions? Any suggestions to help me decide? Thank you What is "Do-It-For-Me"? Do-It-For-Me caters to those who want to leave their investment decision to the experts while building a solid foundation for retirement. What is "Do-It-Myself"? RM8.48/ year for each fund? if i have 3 funds, RM8.48 x 3 o...wa.... i thought RM8.48/year for 1 PRS account. Then better buy only 1 PRS fund, top up RM3k/per year to get the tax relief.

I placed my order and paid for my CIMB PRS fund on 30/10. On the same day, I went to the FSM office to submit the first time PPA and PRS registration to them.
Then on today, my purchase has been confirmed, but why does the NAV I get is based on 31st, and not on 30th which is the day I paid for my order?
I got less RM13 due to the NAV difference(I know this is little considering how much I have wasted over the months, but I just want to verify which NAV I am entitled to.)

My uneducated guess is that......after having completed yr a/c opening in ppa & having confirmed a/c number.....it is after their day's transaction closing time....thus it was carried firward to the next day....

QUOTE(rapple @ Nov 2 2017, 09:31 AM) Yes. Those charges are paid to PPA. Whether you buy online from FSM or directly from other Fund Houses it's the same. At least, FSM it's zero service charge. Do you get charged the same free if you top up via the PPA site?

Getting Started

|
Can I withdraw money from my EPF account to invest in PRS? Since the EPF contribution is likely to be more than RM6k for tax relief, I’m wondering if I can do so to claim for addition 3k for PRS tax relief.

You can withdraw your EPF to buy UT using FSM. Lots of paperwork involve. PRS is also UT.

There is only a limited range of UT that is eligible to be purchased using epf. You cant just puchase any UT in the market. So my take is PRS is not in the list of eligible fund. PRS Is a supplement of epf in retirement fund. Don't think they will allow you to take from one retirement fund to another.

Can I withdraw from my EPF to contribute to the PRS? The PRS is a supplementary form of retirement savings in addition to the EPF and is voluntary in nature. Members are not permitted by law to withdraw from EPF to contribute to the PRS. https://www.ppa.my/prs-and-you/prs-faq/

You can withdraw EPF and invest in Cimb Asia Pacific. So technically you are investing into Cimb PRS Asia Pacific using EPF money. EPF UT range is bigger than PRS

Quick question, I have a Public Mutual PRS Growth Fund, and I make contributions through https://www.prsmember.my due to convenience. Whenever I deposit RM250, only RM234.08 is credited into my PRS account. Is it normal for the transaction fees to this much? Calculated, that's like 6.36% in fees.
