Here you go,

I guess so.
I just got the card last september. Went travel around Europe with it in whole month of October, now got 7xxxx pts. Although Amex got cash back and 5x points, but the conversion rate was fking high. Mastercard conversion rate was way lower.
Same thing. But i found this,

Now I can use your avatar picture. Haha

I think the offer is no longer active... where you get the link from ?
*
I believe that was old TP tier.. It used to be 8000TP for RM50 and Maybank had already revised to 10,000TP for RM50.

Maybe you have not visited the location which requires the 4-digit CID
*
I assume your card has "chip" right? By right the 4-digit are already embedded into the chip so if the cashier use the chip (aka insert card) then it will not need to key-in.
However if your card's chip got problem and cashier has to swipe (aka fallback using magnetic strip) then 4-digit is required.

I suggest u try few more places and observe what the cashier doing..Or ask for card replacement.

For sure if it's not my smart chip problem, it's the EDC terminal problem, right ?
I'm not the only one needed to key-in the CID. Other forummers also confirm requiring the CID at selected EDC terminals.

No idea...There are many conditions that might happen..

But just curious, the cashier really swipe or insert card?
1. Insert card, then swipe (at the EDC, not cashier machine).
2. Straight swipe

For AMEX it is the 4 digit in front of the card. For MasterCard/Visa it is the 3 digit (also known as CCV) beside where you are to sign. And yes, sign behind both cards immediately.

but i have appeal and hope that they will approve my cc application...

first of all, you need to know what is the reason your application being rejected, could be income requirement, credit history, etc.
having a current or saving account with maybank is hardly a criteria.

Call and ask specifically the reason you have been rejected. Then you can apply for other cards that fulfills that requirement. Some banks have a lower risk appetite so they might reject an application if the financial requirements are not up to the bar they set.

For Visa / Master?

If they ask for the 4 digit code, it is the last 4 numbers of your 16 digit number in front, and if they ask for the CCV, then only you turn behind and give them.

Some cards do print the 4 digit number just beside the CCV number as well.

OIC, nowadays for online transaction with Visa/MC, a One Time Password will be sent to your phone. AMEX don't have such feature. Guys, correct me if I am wrong.

Don't remember AMEX requiring it. I thought the one time password is 6 digit? Or was that the old system?

Used to be self assigned fixed 6-digit PIN. Now changed to OTP like TAC.

AMEX doesn't require that for online transaction.

This is definitely confirmed as AMEX didn't implement 3D security like Verified by Visa or Mastercard Securecod.

Evening guys, just wanted to ask. Example I have an outstanding balance of RM 1,000+ with a minimum balance of RM 70. Then I made a payment via M2U in 'pay any amount' option, I paid RM 150. Does that count as my payment for the minimum balance ? Pardon my noob question blush.gif
