Why wanna get when you know you can't?
My current annual income is more than 40k yet I still got Gold.
Next year new adjustment will be more than 48k and I don't foresee the chance to be upgraded to Plat.
I just want my CL to be increased, that's not gonna happen.

Emm..it depends. My income is around RM50K per annum nia. But I've been using MBB cards for many years, no late payment, including repayment for MBB hire purchase loan oso very 'sui'. Recently, I cancel my MBB gold card and apply Maybankard 2 Card Platinum after 30 days and it get approved. And the CL is 2-fold increase.

It is hard to upgrade from existing gold card to platinum card unless you really earn that much lo...

Prompt payment record is just one of many assessment criterion, it does not guarantee card approval.

Next year I should have >50K declared on my BE form. I will try and apply for an upgrade to plat in April just before my anniversary date and see if it gets approved or not.

CL wise, I don't really care as long as is sufficient for my usage but I want plat for their benefits

Is it really that hard to get upgrade from gold to plat and extra CL from MBB?

I need the extra CL because i always pass my current CL by a factor of 4 consistently

Actually my CL is sufficient for my usage but it hurts me a bit to see such puny CL.
Which particular plat benefit that you are looking at?
I think I'll try to apply for one OCBC Ti next year and before my CIMB DA approaches its anniversary, I'll get it cut off, provided I already got an OCBC Ti.
I don't see the benefits of keeping the CIMB DA... Looks like Maybankard2Gold + OCBC Ti is the best combo for me now.

If both cards Maybankard2Gold + OCBC Ti reached the RM50 rebate capped limit, what is the next best cresdit card?

if the merchant have EzyPay for maybankard, does it apply also to M2 Amex??

Depends on the nature of spending, generally M2 Amex still gives you more in form of TP even after the RM50 is used up, unless you get more than 2.5% rebate from another card, which is limited usually to only a few categories.

Exclude Petrol, for general transactions where AMEX is accepted still Maybankard 2 AMEX with 5X Treats Points where you can get returns more than 2% which is higher than most cards.
