OK, I tried buying AirAsia ticket on Thursday's midnight and AmEx didn't go through, in the end I used VISA. Though I lost out the 5xTP but I paid a much lower convenience fee. tongue.gif (Actually I bought for my colleague, if for my own ticket, I'll use M2U). tongue.gif

Er, I forgot what the error says but is that something to do with this new enhancement? Since AirAsia is also online based.

eh, i thought using amex or visa also same convenience fee of RM10? no?

If I show him my past 12 months months salary bank statement, he gonna cry.. more than RM 40++ per annum.. but too bad. I ask nicely but he said no need. Can give me M2U facebook. I go complain awhile and see what they response !
Gen-X , my payment very cantik one .... never pay late, always more than minimum payment. I left only 3 now... also wanna banyak kecoh those MBB staff. Left HLB Classic,SC Platinum and UOB One card only...
He don't have name tag on him. I ask politely can I know his name,he said no need to know my name.. Feel like wanna screw him. I try look around where got MBB counter in shopping mall and see how.

just a guess but likely you have too much commitment (total credit limit) with those 3 cards. I would cancel one (the one getting replaced with your M2C) and reapply,

This is not a no. of card issue but total credit limit issue. If you only make RM5k but your total credit limit is RM100k, most banks would not give you a card (a new credit limit). In this case, additional cards from the same bank is ok if the credit limit is shared as the total credit exposure remains the same.

Think this is called gearing, have to ask the finance people.

There are cases some people will get a card if they request for a specific low credit limit (since it does not change the gearing too much)

Paying in full and never late shows to the bank that you have no experience in managing a credit line so they may be worried that you don't know how.

Managing credit = carrying a balance that's not close to the max and still paying on time every month, preferably above the minimum amount biggrin.gif

Again this is just another possibility aside from the max credit limit already mentioned above.

To all Maybankard holders out there, Maybank just adopted a new policy regarding online transaction today. Starting today, you will need to call Maybank before making any online transaction using your AMEX so that they can open the line for you or else, your card will not go through. Just happened to me. Not too sure about Maybankard VISA/MC though.
*
How come Maybank dint tell AMEX user in advance? Is it AMEX CS to call when we need to do online transaction? hmm.gif

Just to share, I booked flight ticket from MAS online website last weekend. Paid using MBB-2-Amex. No calls, nothing. Check today at M2u online, transaction went through.

I had called AMEX CS just now as I want to pay ACCA annual fees online. The CS said that just need to call 1 time only to update our mobile phone no so that they can call us if there is any suspicious transaction. Don't need to call them every time doing online transaction.  cool2.gif
*
Maybe this is true, as I've done online transactions previously with this MBB-2-Amex hmm.gif

Just call the telephone number stated at the back of your card.

I've used my MBB2 AMEX many times over the internet (mainly to book tickets on MAS website) but they just suddenly blocked my MBB2 AMEX for online use last Saturday.
