QUOTE(geekster129 @ Oct 11 2011, 06:49 PM) I think the Nanocoat is purely marketing strategies, I believe there are so much more features to look into (newer) pro grade lenses, e.g. amount of glass elements, etc. These lenses no doubt will give extraordinary color renditions, bokeh rendition, sharpness, etc when used correctly. So called "premium" image quality of what you have paid for to give you the satisfaction in the outcome. Does it mean that the more elements in a lens construction, the sharper the image will be? Apple added another element into their camera phone and claim it will enhance the sharpness of the photo.DISCLAIMER: This doesn't mean cheaper glass sucks. Just more satisfaction from more expensive glasses. Does Nikon pro grade lenses have weather resistance? AFAIK Nikon's pro grade lenses are weather sealed. I'm not sure yet what it to be meant by the "weather seal", but somehow celciuz's 70-200 VRII has dust in it even though it's weather sealed? QUOTE(celciuz @ Oct 11 2011, 06:50 PM) Google is your friend. I know I can get most of it out from Google, but being kinda busy with work at the moment, I thought starting up the topic in here will have the equivalent amount of information flows. Furthermore, I prefer reading people's experience than reviews on the net. Some may have a different thought with it and it could be fascinating to be shared out I know Canon has some fluoride and UD coating thingy. Zeiss has some T* coating. QUOTE(0168257061 @ Oct 11 2011, 07:30 PM) canon using infamous super spectra coating , there are no naming on the lens whereas nikon label it as N. So, does it mean only the L lens have them? BTW, does the L stands for anything? UD = Canon, ED = Nikon Fluorite = Canon, Super ED = Nikon err what else... QUOTE(ikki9394 @ Oct 11 2011, 08:30 PM) Every sifus, can I ask how much does a 4 years old Nikon 17-55mm F/2.8 worth? I got a seller that willing to sell at AUD875=RM2,730. That's a deal if you ask me, but need to check the condition of the lens thoroughly before purchasing Is the price ok price for its age? No more warranty. |

L lens.. Nanocoat... just a way of the company to call their pro grade lens... and to differentiate with the entry level 18-55 for example.
Besides, those range of lens were never meant to be entry levels. Any entry level 24-70 f/2.8 by Nikon or Canon before? |

Wanna ask about Video.
How long i can shoot a video depends on what factor? How big the size of the card? How fast the card write data? Class 10? If i want to allow myself the flexibility to switch to video when e.g. function and there's performance, optimistically, i should get class 10, as big size i can with fast data writing capabilities E.g. 30mb/s? I read that many recommended at least Class 6 and above for capturing video otherwise it'll fails when the buffer filled. SanDisk has a version which is Extreme Video Class 10 30Mb/s which so-called specialized for video. How long i can shoot a video depends on what factor? How big the size of the card? Hence, you should be able to get better street price than Shashinki's.How is this seller at garage selling at RM105? Same thing? http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1810263/+40 Yeah, that's the one I'm mentioning about and I got two of them. I bought mine cheaper than the thread you showed. I also saw SriComp selling the 16GB at RM165 at Low Yat Plaza. |
