2 years ago ,I preorder RB5009 after Mikrotik public release while Subtel didn't have the stock in Aug 2021. (I think i might be the first people or within 5-10 person that bought first batch RB5009 in Malaysia)

The performance, looks like ax2/ax3 more appealing, except this model have license level 5 (ax2/ax3 only level 4). Well if have more budget, all the way to rb5009 (preorder perhaps )

p/s: this is more purely view from mikrotik test result, not sure for real world performance

HAP AX3 is level 6, Ax2 is level 4.

need wait replace next gen like RB5009 to get all 2.5GBPS x8 Port will be nice

Now price i dont know, but i think should be price up for inflation.

Latest firmware very good. Both my Ltap mini and 5G ax super responsive and fast.

RB5009 the 1 with POE is about 1800+RMB in taobao.. thinking to get that but dont know if region is a problem or not

I think it should be the same for all of the world since the firmware is the same one.


And also I think next year end, mikrotik might release a new generation ethernet router with more 2.5G port. (8 port?)

Maxis IPV6 is super bad route.

I noticed recently my ipv6 missing again as well. Once I upgraded to latest firmware 7.12 it restored momentarily and one day it gone. Not sure if related to Unifi or mikortik ipv6 settings

It's Unifi problem, occasionally the BRAS failed to offer IPv6 prefixes to the DHCP clients and this problem will fix itself a couple of weeks later.

Mind posting your configuration of IPv6 > DHCP Client?
Does the Status says "bound"?

Can you share the store link? Thinking to get another RB5009 with PoE out also
