I am not aware of any plasma screen that does not have a reflective panel.

I hv yet to calibrate any 2012 Panasonics. Once I calibrate them, I will post my findings accordingly. However, I hv talked to fellow calibrators in the UK/US about the performance. The ST50 post calibration is value for money compared to the GT50/VT50. The filters are very close if not the same, the calibration controls are coarser but in can be calibrated well in spite of that. I might evaluate on for myself to replace my aging Pioneer 428XG just for the kicks. In my case I would probably add a video processor and I believe bring it up to the level of the VT (maybe - needs verification...)

You mean you can hack the ST50? drool.gif

Let us know how it goes. First time hearing this stuff.

I think u misunderstood me. There is no hack needed. The TrueCinema mode now has advanced calibration controls for 2 point Greyscale, Gamma Selection and CMS for primary colours.

The VT/GT has added 10 point gamma, 10 point greyscale and a full 3D CMS.

They improved the anti reflective coating to reduce reflections. Its not a matte screen.

Maybe let me rephrase it, a better "anti-reflective screen coating"

That it has. It has in my opinion a very good anti reflective coating that is as good or maybe slightly better than the 9th Gen kuro.

So which 2011 model has the anti reflective coating? Thinking of picking up a bargain but anti-reflective is very important to me. And what's the expecting price? thanks

from http://www.panasonic.com.my/wps/portal/hom...ts/digitalav/tv
what is the major difference between XT, UT, ST, GT?
aside from XT is non-FHD, contrast ratio, and maybe number of HDMI.USB ports available.

checking the retail price here
http://direct.panasonic.com.my/Products.as...gory/101?page=1

42" LEADER 2D HD PLASMA (TH-P42X50K) this is only RM1.7K (X series is even lower than XT)
i see that some posted with iptv, while the above model not, does that mean i cannot use unifi iptv with it?

thanks

Is the warranty by Panasonic? I am looking forward to purchase it too! Waiting for feedback on where to get it at the lowest price. How is the picture quality and its looks? From the description the frame might not as good-looking as GT model, is that true?

Saw Iamsobloodysick posted earlier (deleted then) p65st50 at RM8600 and p65vt50 at RM17,xxx.
Well wait for KLIAV coming this 20-22/7/2012 and you'll see plenty of offer for this TV.

If stay at this price ~RM9,000 a lot of us will be changing TV soon!!!

Wow... if it indeed 9k, i might replace my V20 as well. And looking at anfieldude feedback, ST is the best value for money compared to GT.

May I ask, are there any Panasonic Plasma that are able to convert standard definition program from satellite and "upgrade" it to 1080 or something better? Or are there no such thing?

If your source is low grade, no matter what conversion (if it exist), the quality is only as good as your source. Garbage in garbage out.

It's called upscaled but it will never produce a quality anywhere near a true 1080p content
