Last news i read, Panasonic trying to cut its Japan Plasma production (maybe move to other country). Thai flood may not be affected that much unless some other component are from Thailand.

QUOTE(Kieff @ Nov 16 2011, 11:01 AM) I bought a 50v20 one year ago, that model no longer available now. Thinking of getting a new plasma with equally good quality for my parent. Have been looking at the 50u30k, can't compare them side by side. Can any experts give me some idea to help me make the decision. I do not need the 3d function, or shall I go for the v version? Hi, Where did you get the quote for 50" vt? Added on November 17, 2011, 9:05 pmWow, I bought my v20 at price rm5900. Been offered rm3999 for the 50vt20 just now. .... The price was few times few months ago.... Crazy.... Just saw in Jusco they have the old 42" V20 model going for 3999.00, think is over price. |

QUOTE(stevenycs @ Dec 22 2011, 10:00 AM) I tried using an ext HDD to watch Avatar mkv file which is 20GB and it's still possible. but the PQ was not that smooth. There's a bit of sluggish and missing pixels. So at the end got myself Hi-Media player. solved the problem. My opinion, it's better to get a 3rd party player to watch those high resolution or quality movies. the one built in are for normal files quality so I don't expect too much from it. It sure have problem, to me the TV is made to display movie / image from input source. Is not made to process movie files. It sure have its limitation. |

QUOTE(pierreye @ Jul 2 2012, 11:00 AM) That's the price paying using cash or certain credit card such as CIMB (with 6 months repayment 0% interest plan). Going to get it this week. 9% more is not much difference? You ask them if pay without installment how much? Usually installment they factor in the interest. |

QUOTE(Poadster @ Jul 4 2012, 12:39 AM) This all depends on the merchant, some charges a flat 4% on all 0PP... like HN... When i was shopping for household equipments before moving to my house, i do lots of survey and ask many shop already. Even when they publish shop xxx, yyy,zzz give 0% installment is still factor in. Because when i negotiate the best price they will ask is it cash, c.card, or ipp plan. Cash of choose is better discount, than 1 to 2% discount for c.card, but ipp no discount. Some dont charge anything for 6 months, 2.5% for 12 months and 4% for 24 months (depends on bank).... like SH... QUOTE(Poadster @ Jul 4 2012, 03:04 PM) Dude... i dont mean to be rude, but this just shows that you have not done enuff shopping and asking, or that you have not shopped at the right places... Dude, I go so many shop, and the shop that don't offer ipp give the best price, HN, Seng Heng and big chain shop don't give good cash price because they already factor in the interest unless they have promotion price or special deal. So for buying nearly 20k of household equipments, saving is really a lot if the give the best price.I have stated, and in fact just recently bought, using Maybank card, at no interest charged for 6months installment plan.... no interest no nothing... 0% for 6 month, 2.5% for 12 months, and 4% for 24 months... for Maybank cards in Sen Heng... in fact they have a whole list of banks and rates.... Harvey Norman charges 4% irregardless of duration of 0PP, irregardless of price... and other shops charge 2% added on the negotiated cost of the product, as this is the rate the bank is charging the shops as merchants, which these arse shops pass back to us consumers.... Added on July 4, 2012, 4:00 pmThe best deal I found is still jusco member sales. They give 10% discount, + 10% rebate via voucher. That sum out to be 19% discount, and very good buy for household items that don't get that much discount like fridge from out side shop. This post has been edited by weikee: Jul 4 2012, 04:02 PM |
