i dont get mad with shops selling price, cox i know they've got overhead, fixcost to cover... rental n wages nowadays not cheap, unlike coach, they were sponsored and not any other cost......

after all, kakis here always know d best deal in town... so its hard to use our price as benchmark to others....hehehe

I think the team and tour versions will feel very different as the stiffness is very big difference.

I m surprise my multi snap at cross not main!!! Anyone know why? Cox normally string will snap at main....

What is your NTRP level & where are you located?

What string are you using in main/cross?
Poly will rarely snap in main, multi's will snap in cross's.....more than often...depends on how hard you hit and how much spin you apply on strings....

tk: too many variables involved... nobody can answer u. imho, breaking at cross or main is natural. just depends on which string gives way first.

Hmmmm TK the reason is surely because the wear on the cross is faster than the main which is usually different.
The wear on the main occurs when the string from the cross eats into it. This happens on most types of strings.

If it snaps at the cross it's usually because of the friction by spinning the ball alot causes the cross to thin and eventually snaps. You can see it if you were to observe the strings & would know it's about the cross will give way.

It's a lil harder to see it for mains unless you pull the cross over and check how much it has eaten into the mains.

I always this this snapping mode from crossfire because the Kevlar is almost unbreakable. I know Chip always snap it at the Kevlar because he hits very flat and powerful.

I've nvr use multi before but I think they show signs of fibers when they wear. Maybe it is normal for multi to snap at the cross.

For poly, synthetic gut main is more common.
If hybrid then it depends.

I guess Ali and team must be really busy.

I tend to mentally cool down n relax then opponent catch up but I can't step up already because already in relax mode.

Any good way to keep focus??

keep your objective simple to stay focus, keep telling yourself to go for one more point.. not 1 match, not 1 set, just 1 point..

Tall guy have very good serve.
Hits flat and have dangerously low slice.
Makes you run alot.

Capt, Kev. Yes, I would not dare to imagine anything beyond 1st match!!! I will only focus on d 1st match; and will always tell myself to play point by point. CK that is d only way to play irregardless u r leading, chasing or whatever. I also kena same lesson like u from Jack Lim

ok, info sharing; I played with Wilson Chai and Rizal b4

Rizal: CTO III Champ.
Fitness: The fittest player in all CTOs and any player I have played before.
Serve: Slice to outside court especially on deuce court. Sometime he mixes up with flat serve to make u guess where/how he gonna serve
FH: He hardly hit normal fh. His trademark shot is 9 stories high lob. It will land ard baseline, normaly u gonna stay at fence area to take the shot. If he sees a weak return, he will come to volley or drop shot from baseline/service line. Unless u r good enough to take on the rise like pros do, this shud be d better way to take those kinda shots. And bare in mind he is able to hit hard forehand winner as well.
DBH: This is where he hits hard, he can change direction in split second also.
Volley: Very solid placement and drop volley as well.
Dropshot: One of his cari makan shot in his game, especially d bh side. It can b from anywhere on d court, baseline, service line, volley...
Generally, he is toughest mentally and physically. And he likes to provoke his opponent like Hewitt those days.

Wilson Chai, lefty CTO IV Champ
Fitness: Maybe on par or close with Rizal.
Serve: Not much pace but heavy kick especially on ad court cox of his lefty kick.
FH: Heavey spin but no very much pace. But control is tip top, he can drag u from far left to far right with pin point placement.
DBH: Good directional placement.
Volley: Very solid placement

So any1 can give insight for my opponent? very much appriciated.

must remember to order a few tw leather grips in the next bulk. i feel whipper is quite hard, not as soft as i would like it to be..
