QUOTE(stinky @ Oct 2 2011, 11:04 PM) Yeah, I think I will call Uncle Chin tomorrow......I do prefer the 16-50 kit, but if either the body or the kit can get before 8 Oct, I will just grab it as I be away from Malaysia for couple of months after this Sat Maybe you could grab it at HK after all.. they should have the 1.03 firmware already. Worse case if both unavailable by this week, I'm considering grabing the a77 at Hong kong airport during my 1 hr transit..... Stress!!! - I offload my Canon too soon....... Too bad I be away from Malaysia for couple of months after this coming weekend Welcome to Sony |

Porkchop, I think it is alright. Its ok to have the equipments in focus since it's around the same focal plane. Altering it will make it look quite unnatural.

QUOTE(albnok @ Oct 2 2011, 11:14 PM) ahpingko: Not sure if you've done this, but if you're on Windows 7, run the built-in calibrator tool in Display Properties. Also are you shooting RAW? RAW won't have the same vibrance since it will start 'flat' and you add the vibrance manually. Lightroom is less reddish by default compared to DxO Optics Pro. that calibrator tools looked so hard to use..i don know how to tune to be correct grey...i am shooting raw...i am using the provided sony software to convert it to jpg/tiff...no any editing done...but my camera show correct colors...my phone also showing correct colors...my LCD show more saturate colors...and now from my company laptop and any other laptop, see it as undersaturate...omg... |

ahpingko: most lcd monitor has this marketing super saturation thingie, that boost native 5000:1 contrast to 10000:1 thingie, OFF it. and make sure the color profile is not what text, movie etc, its supose to stay neutral.
most laptop tend to side towards cooler temp/tone. but it doesnt bother mean, but careful when u push red in skintone on laptop... on pc might look super red. fansoption: IPS also need calibrate. |

ahpinko, u selling ur 30mm macro ka??? fansoption, depend on your use, but I would prefer 85mm for portrait shots....tested my frens one, very easy to use MF, because the dof can be seen clearly!! not an issue to hit tack sharp focus...and if ur on a580 u can use the focus check LV thingy...... |

lwliam: Unless you get an Eizo you'll find out-of-box monitors to all be uncalibrated. Even the Macs.
ahpingko: We can TT and you can try my Samyang 85mm F1.4. |
