---can we send our camera to warrantee at normal sony outlets? or must be service centre?

---what we need to bring when we send our camera to claim warrantee? camera with lens or without? bags? box? warrantee card（mine is unfilled)? receipt?

#2. You just bring the whole set, let them take whatever they need. Rather than bringing your lens only.

thx albert...btw, i found that my photos looked damn nice on my LCD..but abit not so saturated in other monitor...and looked not so nice compared to my iphone 4 screen..my iphone screen is much nearer to the colors shown on my sony a550 LCD..how can i correct my PC's monitor to be more accurate????...

i think its your monitor but any lens wide open will kill the contrast anyway.

close up filters are just a single piece glass which will cause distortion on corners of the glass, which = softness. if u get adapter type like raynox, which has 3 element(lens) inside, which reduce distortion and improve sharpness/IQ of the optics.

for the warranty, depend on the shop, sony outlet usual own by "people" no related to sony cooperation (not manage by sony sdn bhd, except sonystyle), some sony outlet, boss, are good enough, to provide the service (helping you to send to service center) and u able to collect back from there. but you can always send it back to where you brought the camera, the shop/outlet has the responsibility to help you send to service center.

you need to provide, receipt, and fill the warranty card base on the receipt date (good luck with your unfilled warranty card).

if your service Body, just body(with body cap, but remove card/batt) if you send in Lens, that brought bundle with body, the lens serial number requires the body serial number to check, so send in both. other then that, individual unit are accepted.

I wanted to do preorder but I will be out of the country from 8 Oct onwards, and is worried that i missed the collection date then the unrefundable deposit will be burned....thanks

collection date is just a date where stock will be available to collect, it will not dissappear~ i mean, u Paid for it, they will keep it until u collect it. unless is shipped to your house (online order) then postlaju (or other EMS company ) will require signature to collect, else they will put in their office, and require you to collect from them.

ahpingko: Not sure if you've done this, but if you're on Windows 7, run the built-in calibrator tool in Display Properties. Also are you shooting RAW? RAW won't have the same vibrance since it will start 'flat' and you add the vibrance manually. Lightroom is less reddish by default compared to DxO Optics Pro.

opps, that is a big problem. it wont arrive until pass 15th.

i feel my eyes keep going to the fishing equipmetns on the right...should i unsharp that area to keep the focus on the model??
