1. Sony dint say anything about the e mount lens being FF lens or DT lens, so we dont know anything yet.
2. e mount 24 zeiss vs ZA 24 f2, is e mount 24 is much lighter and smaller than ZA 24 - alot.  So the ZA 24 is not really ideal to walkabout with nex 5n.
And u can also go for other alternative lens such as 16 pancake or the 30mm macro. Even the 18-55 can be nice walkabout lens. smile.gif
So far most entry level camera and lens are made in thailand. Only those high end like full frame is made in Japan
*
my A500 is made in Japan worr~~

btw guys...I've got a good news...I JUST FOUND THAT MY CAMERA'S WARRANTEE IS UNFILLED WARRANTEE!!!!!
I GOT HOPE TO FIX MY SENSOR ALIGNMENT PROBLEM LIAO!!! rclxm9.gif

worth getting 50mm 1.4 now?? or new 1 coming?? looking for my 1st prime
*
50/30 1.8 is kinda enough...
but 50 1.8 's bokeh is kinda being cut in 1.8...
havent tried 50 1.4 but i saw the review...the colour fringe kinda terrible at 1.4...
above is just my own opinion lar~~

Hopefully is a gimmick, maybe Uncle Chin can still give street price (under the table)  drool.gif
Anyway just got the special price list for lens and accessories from Uncle Chin for people buying A77. Super cheap if getting additional lens and accessories together with RM 300 voucher ... nearly 20-30% discount!!

QUOTE(jimlim007 @ Sep 25 2011, 12:16 AM)
both you failed kuiz tongue.gif kidding, get answer alr my self

This high-performance wide-angle lens with its retrofocus design (Distagon type) provides outstanding performance even at full aperture despite its high speed. Its sharpness and contrast are exceptional across the entire image field of full frame 35 mm cameras.
The integrated super-sonic-wave-motor (SSM) allows the Distagon to focus extremely fast and practically without any noise.(1) The wide rotation angle of the smooth-motion focus ring, which is free of play, also provides for precise manual focusing.
Due to its very close minimum focusing distance of just 19 cm, this wide-angle lens opens up a world of creative opportunities in addition to usual application areas such as landscape photography and photography in small interiors. It’s possible to capture small-sized objects from a very close distance at almost full frame, while the wide angle of the lens reveals much of the surrounding foreground and background, which blend harmoniously out of focus when selecting a large aperture. Nine aperture blades form an almost circular iris, which allows for a beautiful bokeh especially in highlights in the blurred background and foreground.
The sturdy metal lens barrel protects the interior for years of trouble-free use.

this answer is "design", in short~
