anyone of you having rotating problem when receiving a call or dialing??mine will auto rotate i have to switch off auto rotation to get rid of it,by the way i am using batista rom 3.7.2??any suggestion guys?)=

baseband version: I9100KG6
KERNAL VERSION: 19100XXKH3-CL479037 se.infra@SEI-15 #2

What is the different between modem and kernal? WHICH one is my modem and what i my kernal?

also where could i get Ninphetamine 2.0.2 and SpeedMod s2 k1 T27? and between this two if i flashed them, could i still use with KH3 modem?

Your modem is KG6, kernel is stock KH3 kernel from intratech if I'm not mistaken. Yes you can mix and match any modem with any kernel, just read clearly the description for each in xda.

ur setup has baseband and kernal, so kernal is kernal la, so modem must be baseband la, common sense la bro your kernal is stock kernal KH3 by infratech i think, difference ah, heard of bios? guess not, i think you better read page 1, got one link explain in detail about kernal and modem is ur drivers for your modem chip in ur phone.

how to get them? did u try google? make sure you add sgs2 in your search term and yes you can use.

I'd like to make it clear to everyone thats here that you can flash any set of combinations as you want, your phone will not spoil, its all compatible, you can have any modem with any kernal using any cs or a rom then u put in your own csc kernal modem also can, there is no compatiblity problem with android.

Currently using XP

Yup, under same router in my house.
Able to scan for my PC.

Login Failure
This may caused by:
-WiFi is off (able to scan my PC, no issue)
-SMB server is out of network scope
-The IP is invalid (IP is valid, as it was detected by scan)
-Block by the firewall (i off the windows firewall and kaspersky internet securty)
-SMB service is off


from the above, SMB i got no idea
but i google SMB
SMB is by default for win XP

One more question, how should i charge the battery? How often should i do a complete recharge of the s2? I read the article in the faq already, it didnt say how often should i do it. I assume that if lets say my battery is at 40% i can charge it to 100% right? And do this on a regular basis? Like sometimes 50 or 70 or 60 to 100%

jz charge whenever u wan n whenever u like. i dun reli care how much battery percent left, once come back from work n after dinner n bath i sure charge my phone, no matter its 60%, 70% or 40%.

If yout play a video more than 4gb..it wont have sound..

i can only suggest avoiding sgp's silke. its getting very loose on my phone now. i won't be surprised if i have to change casing in the next few weeks. i've only used this case for about 2mths.

currently might get the imak 2-in-1 case. looks nice.

- wanting everytime quick answer. Obviously every thing he ask is in the main xda android thread, yet he still ask exact link. This is not first time, many times already. Goes to show no googling by himself or just kk to get the right one. I was utterly floored down when he ask for the links. I would have thought by now he show know where to search in xda

Added on September 5, 2011, 9:03 amThe phone screen is meant to auto rotate by default when you move it. You should worry if it doesnt. You can always disable it at settings if you find it disturbing. I only use phone in portrait mode except watching videos and i disabled it

Added on September 5, 2011, 9:15 amI have concluded that as of now if you only want to flash one rom, the best is cognition 1.5.1. Change modem to xxkg3 and kernel to ragemod
If you like beautiful themes this will not give you but there are some mods being done for this rom, flash this separately
Anyway this is just a quick answer to those who always ask me which is best rom to use
I could be seriously wrong as your needs are different from me

but i do still need to do a complete recharge right? to recalibrate battery. i did some googling abt how to charge the batt for the first time, they said i should finish off the remaining power left in the batt, then recharge it for like 8 hours? btw, i do know that lithium batteries dont suffer the 'memory' effect

Looks exactly like spiderfoot offer in ebay as is only one i know which has a curve backing. Buy direct only us$10. Just compare to mugen us$100 for same power. The price difference alone will tell you the differences expected in quality and lifespan
