how do i actually properly exit and app? i read somewhere people said press back button? but if im im browsing, i'll have to keep pressing back many times  sweat.gif
*
normally, i just dun bother closing apps. let the os do some work. but if you must exit the apps, the i suggest you have the program manager on your home screen. then each time you press the home button to get to the home screen, exit all the apps using the program manager widget.

p/s: i just realised shizuru is female... just noticed the gender...

Aloo friend. Still knocking knee dont know whether want to flash or not ar?

~~ lol ~~

Just flash our local stock firmware is enough already. No need root one. Get the DX firmware from intratech thread. Or if you dont mind using europe firmware then just flash the XX firmware and you'll be on 2.3.4 already :-P
*
nolar... i wanna get and use only officially released firmware for MY. anyway, u will go check my screenshot later to confirm the version and then see how la... samsung not making it easy to update firmware. still dunno why they dun allow FOTA.

update:
wah, our htc sensation brothers got FOTA -- 2.3.4... ours is still 2.3.3... sad.gif

You are already listed at no 602
If charging through AC - temperature should be in the 40's ; most of the time is just slight below 40
Surfing, even continuously up to 2 hours  - average temperature 35-42 ( higher on 3G, lower on wifi )
Yours is abnormally high
*
my goodness... how do you actually remember? or you do a search, is it?

btw, got so reply from samsung on their fb wall. they say if got problem, just go to service centre NEXT WEEK...

charging usually below 40
*
on several occasions, mine have gone up to 52°. once while playing star legends and charging st the same time.

after using the phone for a few weeks... I now wonder... do we really need that many cores on the phone? after all, if it's about silky smooth scrolling, iphone 4 could do it with a single core.

from what I can see... most here are into modding phone but not really about posing the phone to its limit - unless you're over clocking. apps wise, I can't think of any that really pushes the phone... then again, if there is such an apps, at most, it'll be hours before we look for a power point.

so just wondering... did I get the right phone or was this an overkill? but I know I love the 1080 recording... maybe this is where the dual core is useful.

My S2 still without casing... thinking to get 1...
*
i can only suggest avoiding sgp's silke. its getting very loose on my phone now. i won't be surprised if i have to change casing in the next few weeks. i've only used this case for about 2mths.

currently might get the imak 2-in-1 case. looks nice. smile.gif

The article explains why you should not charge it to full 100%
*
since we're on this topic...

not charging to full 100%... so unplug at 99%? smile.gif

but seriously... i'd like to assume original samsung battery is a smart battery that can 'cut off' power at say 100% and once battery level drops, it gets charged again... otherwise, overnight charging is not that good... no? smile.gif

hi new s2 user here
i want to ask...

how do i make a call on the s2?
*
guys... dun be so bad la... i think new user meant to tell us he could not find the keypad. i think that's the same for first time users. i know i could not find the keypad as well... also missed my first call coz didn't know how to answer a call.

anyway, i think so nice bros have pointed out... top menu... scroll to the left. keypad is top left icon.

i think samsung should just reduce the size of the icons and fit them all into one screen.

this bayi thingy... sure its Malay for pig? and not some derogatory term referring to other race? the second one, i know. first one... first time hearing.

even utusan malaysia uses the word bayi to mean baby:

My innocent comment on " macam bayi" has exploded to so many posts. Simply in Bahasa Malaysia bayi means baby. Other references to other interpretations as stated I am completely unaware and also first time hearing about it. Anyway, should stop talking about this. I just mean BABY, which is still a correct official translation to BAYI in Bahasa Malaysia
*
yup, agreed. smile.gif

i had a similar problem with my sgs2 and asus transformer tablet. had to try many times, including restarting the device. i mentioned abt this before but dun think anyone else had any issues coz no other comments back then.

the other thing i noticed... when using the native BT transfer, i had to accept the permission each time the file was transferred. no option for me to remember the connection, even after the devices were paired. not sure if its an asus thingy or what (could be android still not that mature?!?). no such problem sending file from sgs2 to my pc.

[Antenna Problem]

HI All,

I got this Samsung Galaxy S2 (Original-I suppose from Celcom Blue Cube) just last Saturday,

So far I experience 3(three) times of "cutoff" from Celcom. There is NO LINE at all, not a single Bar. I have to restart my phone, then only can get back the line.

What happened ????? Pls advise, on how to fix it.

Thank you thank you
*
ever considered getting a cheap prepaid card from say... digi or maxis. and then see if you still have this problem? could be just celcom issue... wink.gif

Kernel is BIOS for your phone.

ROM is a package of UI + Kernel + Modem

Good thing about Android is you can customize to build different combination of ROM, kernel, modem in your phone.
*
hmmm... good way to explain. errrr... then what's modem? why different type of modem?
