Oh ok thx! Wanna ask other galaxy s2 owners, what case shud i get? Im interested in the case-mate tough case, since looks as if it can really protect the phone, considering the phone is only made out of plastic, do i need that type of case? Or cases like sgp neo hybrid will do the job when dropped from your hand to the floor(my hands are so clumsy)? And do i need a screen protector? The screen made out of gorilla glass, and reviews state that the screen is more fingerprint resistant than most phones, so shud be fine without screen protector right?

i bought this mesh vent casing for RM20
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/genuine-samsung...lack-p29893.htm
samsung one rm88.

its one of my favorite one

thinking back...i think mesh vent casing is the only casing i should get since it has vent, cuz the phone abit heat

if complete gell back one, not so good ventilation. i jsut thought about this since i only know the name of the casing is VENT , so speaks for itself the function.

its one of the few samsung original casing so myb samsung edi know this phone needs a vent mesh casing LOL
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/genuine-samsung...lack-p29893.htm

secondly, it covers the crucial 4 corners of the hp so when drop, its protected too although has minimal cover compare to full body gel/casing type

thirdly, when ever i chg battery, it is taken out and flip back in very efortlessly compare to other full body casing which requires some pressure i scare my s2 patang lol so my vote goes to mesh vent casing  thumbup.gif

Hmm.. But not much protection though... I prefer case that has protection, if it heats up, i can just take out, i dunt mind

One more question, how should i charge the battery? How often should i do a complete recharge of the s2? I read the article in the faq already, it didnt say how often should i do it. I assume that if lets say my battery is at 40% i can charge it to 100% right? And do this on a regular basis? Like sometimes 50 or 70 or 60 to 100%

Page 1 post#3 q16 if you have read the link to the website batteryuniversity, you would have concluded
- charge as many times as you like
- charge whenever you feel like charging it
Discard away all the outdated theories of nicad battery
The article explains why you should not charge it to full 100%
*
but i do still need to do a complete recharge right? to recalibrate battery. i did some googling abt how to charge the batt for the first time, they said i should finish off the remaining power left in the batt, then recharge it for like 8 hours? btw, i do know that lithium batteries dont suffer the 'memory' effect

I do not see the need of antivirus as long your apps are from android market. Such app drain resources and is not proven effective
It just give user a good feeling of security which is false
*
So ur saying those who the *ahem* apps need antivirus?

Users of such apps need to be intelligent enough. They assure themselves using av apps will keep them safe. Everyone knows many such apps are trojan carriers so such users will standby their decision that av apps is a necessity
But again it is not proven av apps work on android
*
Those *ahem* apps have a high chance of having those type of viruses?

QUOTE(antt00 @ Sep 6 2011, 08:02 AM)
Those who use these apps are just at higher risk because the original apk have been tempered with.

Oh, ok, get it now thx!

does that rom have touchwiz?

not really a fan of the design

QUOTE(antt00 @ Sep 5 2011, 12:48 PM)
I am on touch x-treme rom now. Basically in terms of battery life and performance it differs on user so its difficult to recommend one rom. otherwise there would not be so many roms on xda. The best is to try out a few roms and pick the one that suite you best.
*
anyone here use exynos extreme? that rom looks nice.

edit: one more question, deodexed roms have laggy browser?

Neo Hybrid is a handsome looking case. IMO nothing beats the look of the hybrid.
Protection wise is pretty good. Grip is not as good as TPU cases.

The fit is pretty snug, but I made it tighter by inserting some paper in the silicone case.
I have the case for about 2 weeks now, no problem about the silicone (camera area) being loose.

That being said, my phone rarely goes about 40 degrees except during charging. That's the only time i feel the case is hot. But no loose fitting.
