Thanks for your reply  smile.gif .Have looked through the website, it seems like they only entertain queries after application is being made. Was wondering if you could recall how was your name displayed in the Australian Police Certificate, probably I could get rough idea from there.
*
My name was exactly as per my IC/ Birth cert. Then again, I'm not Chinese, so it's a bit different lah.

dont think it require work experience but u can easily find the information in the website
*
A 457 Skills Assessment conducted by a registered training organisation approved by Trades Recognition Australia, if required (more information can be found on the Trades Recognition Australia website).

If you were nominated in either the occupation Project and Program Administrator or Specialist Manager not elsewhere classified: a VETASSESS Skills Assessment for General Professional Occupations. You cannot use the results of a VETASSESS Qualifications-only skills assessment obtained for a Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa application.

References from previous employers that cover a period sufficient to demonstrate the relevant skill level (refer to ANZSCO code related information at the Australian Bureau of Statistics website for expected minimum period of experience relevant to the nominated occupation). These should be on the letterhead of the employer and include:
the name, title and contact details of the referee
details of your position and dates of service.

Does that 3 points mean I need working experiences or I can fulfill the criteria without any working experiences as a fresh graduates? Sorry, I'm really confused and thank you for the insights provided.

457 is a skilled visa. It's intended for companies who are willing to sponsor and are not able to recruit the required skills locally.

The key is finding a company willing to sponsor you, and you're not filling an unskilled position, e.g. office admin.

We got a graduate in using 457 a couple years back.

Well, actually, that "Trainee QS" job title was actually a full-time graduate position. It's just that the company has decided to use the job title for those fresh graduates.
*
Why?

Fresh grade will be given title either assistance or junior. Make sure you get your ex-employer to change the title in the testimonial letter

So for the employer reference part, it can be ignored and that doesn't matter at all as long as there's sponsor and it's skilled position? Thanks.

May not touch. After all the immigration/investment visa is a major cash cow.
I mean, each investor contributes a few million to economy, multiply that by a few hundred thousand...u shift $ from other countries to oz.
For skilled migration I dont think they will keep expanding it. As it is, locals and existing migrants alredi have a hard time getting jobs. Add to it the 457 visa as well and this will provide the stopgap measure to fill in the in demand jobs.

Be specific.

Do you have a valid visa, or are you asking how to apply for one so you can work? Or is there something else you'd like to know?

I'm thinking of migrating to Australia, and keen to do so, but worry about the application and the economy there.

In terms of the EOI selection, how come i hear Aussie based Agents and Malaysian based Agents say different thing ? Aussie say you must get more than 60 points, the higher the better, to get selected. But Malaysia say not necessarily, get 60 points, and you have chance to get selected as well. Is it that Malaysian trying to earn the agent fee so try to raise your confidence in applying, or Aussie just exaggerate things?

I'm hoping to apply Visa 189 /190 , but still surveying agents. can anyone intro me reliable Agent (instead of the R*y**** agent. I nearly decided to engage them, but thanks to you guys in here i threw that out of the window now).

It can be hard to find a job now. Many roles have been outsourced, or filled using workers on the 457 visa. No local experience=low paying jobs.

Agents interpret the requirements, of which you can find in the immi website. Therefore diff agents, diff interpretations.
U can read up in the immi web site for requirements.

IMO, u should pay the RM30K agent fee to:
1. fill in forms for you
2. help u summarise the requirements and provide a checklist service
3. do almost dodgy methods to try to get it approved

Bear in mind ultimately it is OZ Immigration that approves the application. The agent is just a go between

Assume your profession is highly demand here and meet up all the requirements
Look for these options:-

1) DIY
you'll save heaps of cash like 50%? You'll need to make some phone calls, emailing and sort your documents. I would say the whole process you'll like time spending 80%. If you got time would be the best.
advise is, please!!!!!!!!!!!! read their DIAC website thoroughly! every info and every word and understand it! don't be lazy

2) Agents
you'll paying $30k in total? Agents are for those who dunno a shit of english. buta2 dunno how to apply at all. anyway, i applied thru agent too... biggrin.gif Totally tied up with work! No time, worked like cow back in KL for 10hours everyday....YES! EVERY SINGLE DAY!

engaging R*****d. they're sucks. even i got mine thru them but their service is ganasai. my case is easy and straightforward. i did my homework and screw them few times so end up getting my PR less than 6 mths.
they'll squeeze you at the end for some more cash. oh, they know you got money and they'll squeeze your ba.....er...imean your neck for more. However, i paid $20k for the whole process....everything.

189 gives you better remote to work any part of australia including the cave also....haha....no cave here, sorry. if you wanna live in metros like Syd or Melb, this is what you need but your points nd to at least 60p.

if you're short, nvm, pay $$ for state sponsorship and get extra 5p but might be living in the city you like say....sangkala place like Darwin or Perth? Drinking beer with kangaroo or koala.

DO NOT ENGAGE overseas agent! you'll not able to meet them face to face and your $$ will drain down the shithole. I knew someone back there with good repu but dunno how's it now coz it might be different now or else you'll curse and screw me kaw2.

Anyway, good luck! thumbup.gif

Thanks! This year i'm just 25, and worked for 2 years in engineering field (I'm a Mech Eng Graduate). My marks haven't accumulate 60 yet until i finish my 3rd year of work. Thus i am thinking of state sponsorship, Victoria to be specific, as i've read applying for state sponsorship is free.

But how is the chances of getting state sponsorship? If get sponsored, can bypass EOI stage and reach PR status (Upon payment of course biggrin.gif).

I also found few agents, the agent fees (agent fee only) around AUD$3000-4000 (They all use AUD to earn from currency exchange probably). So keep do survey if not paying a fortune, yet later not guarantee entry, or need wait few years. @.@ that i wouldn't want.

Eh Perth is okay la LOL

Actually 190 is not an issue- youre free to work anywhere as well. It's just a 'moral obligation', but not an absolute must to live and work in the state that sponsors you.

Depends on your profession. if it's in their list, fulfill the english requirement, i can't see any reason why they can't give you. That's for sponsorship of course.
If your exp., not enough, i suggest u have to stay where you are for another 1-2 years. it doesn't make any harm on waiting.

Of course they're charging AUD. RM is so weak now. Good for us to travel of course but inflation overkill! Do you know malaysia groceries value is same par for what we're paying here in Oz (except dairies product)? dollar to dollar, malaysia is getting much expensive to live if you earn there.

My indonesian chinese friends who super rich living here predicting malaysia would become indon number 2. You'll see malaysian becoming maid very soon
