Is there any way to secure a job in Australia without hitting the "PR" roadblock? I've graduated from an australian university in Mechanical ENgineering Last year, but coz i did 1 year as exchange student and 1 year of International student, I am only qualified as 1 year study, thus cant apply PR using "pre" skillselect rules.

I really hope to work in Australia in the future, just that, everytime i want to apply, they always ask for Permanent Residency. And if u apply anyway, why will they choose one without PR when there are many with PR? Thats what i am thinking.

Employer sponsor is always the best of course, but that is a rare chance.

I'm thinking of migrating to Australia, and keen to do so, but worry about the application and the economy there.

In terms of the EOI selection, how come i hear Aussie based Agents and Malaysian based Agents say different thing ? Aussie say you must get more than 60 points, the higher the better, to get selected. But Malaysia say not necessarily, get 60 points, and you have chance to get selected as well. Is it that Malaysian trying to earn the agent fee so try to raise your confidence in applying, or Aussie just exaggerate things?

I'm hoping to apply Visa 189 /190 , but still surveying agents. can anyone intro me reliable Agent (instead of the R*y**** agent. I nearly decided to engage them, but thanks to you guys in here i threw that out of the window now).

Assume your profession is highly demand here and meet up all the requirements
Look for these options:-

1) DIY
you'll save heaps of cash like 50%? You'll need to make some phone calls, emailing and sort your documents. I would say the whole process you'll like time spending 80%. If you got time would be the best.
advise is, please!!!!!!!!!!!! read their DIAC website thoroughly! every info and every word and understand it! don't be lazy

2) Agents
you'll paying $30k in total? Agents are for those who dunno a shit of english. buta2 dunno how to apply at all. anyway, i applied thru agent too... biggrin.gif Totally tied up with work! No time, worked like cow back in KL for 10hours everyday....YES! EVERY SINGLE DAY!

engaging R*****d. they're sucks. even i got mine thru them but their service is ganasai. my case is easy and straightforward. i did my homework and screw them few times so end up getting my PR less than 6 mths.
they'll squeeze you at the end for some more cash. oh, they know you got money and they'll squeeze your ba.....er...imean your neck for more. However, i paid $20k for the whole process....everything.
189 gives you better remote to work any part of australia including the cave also....haha....no cave here, sorry. if you wanna live in metros like Syd or Melb, this is what you need but your points nd to at least 60p.

if you're short, nvm, pay $$ for state sponsorship and get extra 5p but might be living in the city you like say....sangkala place like Darwin or Perth? Drinking beer with kangaroo or koala.

DO NOT ENGAGE overseas agent! you'll not able to meet them face to face and your $$ will drain down the shithole. I knew someone back there with good repu but dunno how's it now coz it might be different now or else you'll curse and screw me kaw2.

Anyway, good luck! thumbup.gif

Thanks! This year i'm just 25, and worked for 2 years in engineering field (I'm a Mech Eng Graduate). My marks haven't accumulate 60 yet until i finish my 3rd year of work. Thus i am thinking of state sponsorship, Victoria to be specific, as i've read applying for state sponsorship is free.

But how is the chances of getting state sponsorship? If get sponsored, can bypass EOI stage and reach PR status (Upon payment of course biggrin.gif).

I also found few agents, the agent fees (agent fee only) around AUD$3000-4000 (They all use AUD to earn from currency exchange probably). So keep do survey if not paying a fortune, yet later not guarantee entry, or need wait few years. @.@ that i wouldn't want.
