Doesn't matter, I can easily pay for everything. And worst comes to worst, I'll sell off my currency basket.

I do my numbers and risk factors before I buy anything big lol.

Can't say easy to find work.. should be only easier if physically there.

I'd like to know how to TT our money from msia to aus? Western Union is so expensive. I read a website that suggested PayPal. but I'm unsure how to transfer within the same account.
*
The most cost effective is to use your Msian bank to perform foreign telegraphic transfer to Aus bank. Maybank for example you can do this online at a transaction cost of only RM10 for a transfer amount of up to RM10,000 per day if I am not wrong - Google.

It is cheaper compared to other methods such as Western Union / Moneygram because foreign TT takes 2-3 days whereas Western Union / Moneygram is supposedly instant.

I actually learned all of my risk management from work. Start with a typical OHS risk matrix, then work from there.

Remember the basics being consequence, probability and controls. You won't go too wrong and you'll have a chart for nearly every possible issue.

Simple eh? Not rocket science.

How is the competition among Australians?
Is it worth it to work in Australia, away from home.
How is the living expenses in Australia?

Some of the fun reasons employers prefer "nepalese, bangladeshi",
is
they are willing to work long hours for peanut pay biggrin.gif
plus
live in company accommodation, so the money they spend flows into the boss's pockets icon_idea.gif
and
can be fired and quickly deported when their usefulness is over. brows.gif

When Malaysians are willing to work very long hours, live in the workplace, and don't cause any trouble (like ask to be treated as human beings or take care of their health or practice safety with heavy/dangerous equipment),
then every boss will want them. rclxms.gif rclxm9.gif icon_rolleyes.gif thumbup.gif

There are already many employers hiring Nepalese educated admin staff paying them rm1300 with 3 year bond no EPF or sosco. Mind you this guys speak excellent English and are computer literate.
Where do locals have a chance ?

Soon 5\10 years ...you will see a large shift in local workforce dynamics. As employers cut cost and higher foreinegners to maintain overheads .

Forgot to add foreigners don't take mc or annual leave like us smile.gif

LOL, company has to APPROVE annual leave.
Otherwise, you are considered terminated if you take leave more than 2 days, even if you hand in your leave application over 1 month no reply liau, but you take your leave because it is family issue.
Then asked HR why boss no reply?
"Boss very busy with work, how to reply your leave application?"
(Isn't replying to leave applications, PART OF THE WORK OF THE BOSS?)
Just lol, bosses will hire for (unqualified?) cheap and illegal if possible,
then claim all the qualified legal workers are deficient and demanding.
and of course, boss is the one doing most of the annual leave ... smile.gif

personally, if they are willing to pay enough., I don't mind. because the cost of living is high. and becoming a senior/asst. manager, the tax increases and you might end up with less disposable income compared to the lower positions. not sure how true this is though.

Yup true. I moved there with around 3 year working experience (uni grad) which is nothing tbh, got a role immediately in the same industry but just a small potato since i don't have any local experience. I wasn't after the money, i wanted the experience - we all need to start somewhere and there's no short cut in life. I was really happy when i got the job although it was paying peanuts! 3 years later ... I'm now a manager nod.gif
