Don't think you can lead a comfortable life with the dole payments. U might not even be able to cover the rent with the amount they give u....

I think it cuts both ways. Having your own house but if looses job, will there be any other help tp upkeep the installments ? Thanks.

Yes, similar. But expect to pay hundreds of $ in premiums per month. And I think it only covers up to 6 months.

Yes, Centrelink is not stupid. U have to pass an "Assets test" as well. If u are renting and dont own a house, u can get rental assistance on top of dole.

They'll give you a quote depending on risk profile when you request it.

Only 145 for a property worth 800k-ish with the appropriate risk factor.

Plus 6 months paid while one collects rent isn't that bad. If your living costs are low, you can actually accelerate your repayment.

It wont go bust, most analysts expect that property prices will plateau for the next decade if it were to slow down. In that case investors will just look for rental gains.

I'd like to know how to TT our money from msia to aus? Western Union is so expensive. I read a website that suggested PayPal. but I'm unsure how to transfer within the same account.
