average i get 530 to 570...with average speed 80 to 120....30% highway, 70% city...

i was testing FC while driving back to iph just the other day, on a relatively quiet/empty day in HW.

Experiment.
Drive at autocruise speed for 8km, note FC, accelerate 5km in AC for 2km, reset FC meter, drive 8km etc.
85km/h @26.6km/l
90km/h @26.3
96km/h @23.6
101km/h @ 22.9
102km/h @25.4
115km/h @18.5

The later results is not too accurate, as nearing ipoh, and traffic/2 lanes means I cant get steady readings without stopping/re accelerating again.
96 and 101km/h results seems odd too, maybe I was on an uphill stretch?

Didin't manage to retest 96/101 again, as I'm on a 2 lane stretch and the road has more traffic dee...

Anyone else can confirm this?
For safety reasons, please do it on a empty/quiter stretch of road or ask ur passengers to note it for u.

Woo... Honda Insight front bumper remove picture. That's how the water washer tank and horn looks like... Looks solid for the steel in front bumper.. No wonder 5 star rating for crash test... biggrin.gif laugh.gif

friend, ur FC is very good to me ..as i can only stretch to 22km/I in the highway..
daily route from Shah Alam to PJ can manage only 500+km before warning light..

Joining in da club... Finally collected my Pearl White Insight 3 days back after about 3 weeks waiting. I choose to have all seats and door trim to be leather because I will have kids in the car climbing up and down, so earsier for cleaning. Did my security film tinting at Raytech.

Mileage just went past 1,000km because went for outstation work trip with it right away. One full tank of petrol (I pump right before entering highway) just nicely enough for me to drive from Puchong to Penang island and back with highway speed between 110 to 120km/h. Service center no slot for me today so can only do the 1k service next Monday. By then, I guess my mileage would be close to 1.5k.

Tomorrow morning going for Mugen sideskirt and spoiler installation. Will post feedback or pic once done.

Anyway did u read on the FC of the new civic?
There's a high economy model or something that has EPA 41MPG (which is very very close) to our insight's official EPA 43 MPG...

At the rate technology is progressing... hybrid's attractiveness seems less, not even mentioning the diesels sad.gif

U got check ur tyre pressure?
I noticed huge difference after inflated pressure according to the recommended spec.

Missed out my tyre pressure trips for~2 months.

I can't give the accurate numbers but I believe 84kmh gives you the best FC. Btw, what,s your average speed? My city driving is around 28kmh only!

Getting ready for transplant...why? i drove swift before, decided to hand over it to my dad as he wanted the car & going to continue paying the installations, my dad refused to have that 16" rims with 205.50 that I bought few months before getting my Insight, so I sold the stock tyres & give the stock rims to my mum City

something happened...unknown flying object just landed on my roof at TTDI Jaya Shah Alam when I was driving home, till now I still dont know what is the thing that hit my roof...super sad... cry.gif
