QUOTE(Slekerz @ Aug 23 2011, 10:49 AM) Your sold your sgs2 because you can't coop with flash new rom I find very funny because why you want to flash new rom just want to keep with up with everyone trend, just stick to stock rom or custom rom you find is good. CM7 has updates daily.. Lol but updates are good.I'm on Miui and usually update every Friday and I love waiting every Saturday just to flash new build, that's the beauty of android you can just stick to stock rom and wait for official firmware from samsung or flash custom roms that release every day. Good luck in your new phones. |

Any suggestions for a good case for the SGS2? I'm considering either the SGP Neo Hybrid series or the Imak 2-in-1 metal case. Prefer something with a silicon / rubberised interior and some hard outer layer. Cany anyone give some opinions or user reviews particularly on the Imak case?

QUOTE(menghua84 @ Aug 23 2011, 12:15 PM) sorry la.. but I only found pinkish tint for camera on the faq page.. nothing about the yellowish tint on screen.. can help? Yellowish tint issue is very common on the SGS 2. I personally went to samsung to replace the yellowish tint screen but its a real long and sad story:1) sent in for yellowish tint, 2) 3 days later, collected, now its bright spot on the screen?! 3) sent it again, but two days later, the technician called and told me this:" mr, there is nothing on your screen wor?", I drove all the way from sunway down to plaza berjaya just to show them the bright spots, at first, they still try to deny, but after proving them through various pictures i downloaded on the spot from google etc, the admitted the problem and agreed to change another screen 4) 3 days later, collected again, but guess what? THIS TIME ITS DEAD PIXEL ON THE SCREEN 5) After 30 mins, finally it was done, but guess what? the yellowish tint is back again?! I gave up and i am living with it now |

Yellowish tint on screen ??? One dead pixel on screen ?
If you are not happy, just go to service center and ask for screen replacement or whatever they can do But there are too many " horror" stories already - solving A gives rise to problem B and maybe C. So is your choice I'd say what is important is in your daily usage, does this " defect" bother you - do you see it obviously when you are using the phone If it really biothers you, then just go and claim , PERIOD . Stop whining about it I'd say DO NOT go and fix something unless you have to go to special display modes to see this " defect" This is what I called making a mountain out of a molehill In my buying of all smartphones till now, I never even bother to go to this , I say "microscopic" level to check such stuffs . Some users has in the last few threads go to great level of describing how to see such a defect , viewing it at certain anglers and at certain light conditions , bla , bla, bla What is important to me, the display should just look nice and clear. Damn it if there is a slight dead pixel - I am not going to waste my energy and time and get frustrated over it. Even the great Apple ipad 2 has so many cases of screen bleeding and yet it sells by millions Another popular rant is the pinkish spot in camera mode - this again is user assessment of its importance. If camera features is important to you - go and claim a replacement or scour the xda forums for software patches or wait for patch by Samsung. You can try all the latest roms that claim will reduce/eliminate it. Or just go to service center and ask for a replacement unit |

btw guys anyone tried the Wave Launcher?
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.m...elauncher&hl=en really good stuff, combine wave launcher + multitasking app = perfect https://market.android.com/details?id=com.t...e=search_result really fully utilize your phone, play game half way, then go reply msg/ebuddy/play music/twitter/then resume! works even in full screen game/app. recommended that you modify your memory settings as android will close your app when u switch it to background if your app consumes alot alot of memory This post has been edited by destEX: Aug 23 2011, 01:16 PM |
