QUOTE(doobydoo @ Aug 22 2011, 01:39 PM) Going to buy my Galaxy S2 shortly. Anything that I should look out for in particular when checking the unit? just make sure the shop agree to let you have another unit if you get even 1 dead pixel. get them to do the screen test. check page 1 for the code. you might wanna write in down in case the shop fella try to be funny and say dunno how to do the test. QUOTE(spekitam @ Aug 22 2011, 01:42 PM) Seems like everyone constantly changing from one rom to another..good for you guys..but out of curiosity, dont you guys felt tired? maybe these are actually the unofficial beta testers... so many firmware out but not officially released to everyone. so could be actually marked beta by Samsung and released... the version that comes back with the most positive reviews (and least complaints) then officially gets released and pushed to others?!? |

Everyone here talk about SGP, Otter, Zenus, Casemate etc. since u said cheap2... i'm going to assume its cheaper than silke. if so... i'm game... waiting for the seller to reply with price. The built quality is not up to SGP in terms of the cutouts, nothing wrong with the materials. A bit heavier than Silke and Neo Hybrid. Got camera lens protector. QUOTE(Bugeca @ Aug 22 2011, 03:02 PM) Ooo, I got the IMAK a bit cheaper than that but I was comparing with Neo. Cheap is for Silke, Cheap-cheap is for Neo. Heheheheh got the quote from seller. it's cheap... he dun have stocks at the moment, so i got time to think and do more survey -- see who else is selling and how much. if there's something you dun really like about the case... what would it be? |

back in v11, I recall a few owners who said they wiped their phones daily. feeling embarrassed, I decided to also clean my phone. even used liquid soap and damp tissue to wipe the screen (with sp).
shortly after that, I needed to send a message. that's when I realized... it's near impossible to swype on a SQUEAKY CLEAN screen... |

QUOTE(Bugeca @ Aug 22 2011, 05:53 PM) 1. The speaker cutout is not align correctly to the speaker grill, but it does not affect the loudness. sweaty palms when hot? err, it's not conducting electricity, right?2. Small dented line near the ear phone jack, metal case, what to do. 3. The rubber lining was glued to the metal case, expect to have some workmanship issue here. 4. The metal case is a good conductor of cold and hot. Watch out sweaty palm when it's hot. a few questions posted by nicregi reminded me... # if this case bulky or considered thin... in your opinion and I guess compared to silke. # metal... err... do you think rough use will cause it to rust? or is it non-rust alloy? sorry for my many Q. figured its better to ask existing user than the seller. |

speaking of shutdown... i think my sgs2 on stock/ ori Sammy rom has also shutdown by itself before a few times. maybe like once every two weeks.
at first, i thought i had accidentally powered down my phone but the more i think about it, the more unlikely that i had accidentally shut down the phone... coz when we power down the phone, the phone will actually need us to tap yes to confirm or sth... still, there's a possibility... can't really be sure. all i know is... on a few occasions, when i pull out the phone from my pocket... its OFF. |
