Yellowish tint issue is very common on the SGS 2. I personally went to samsung to replace the yellowish tint screen but its a real long and sad story:
1) sent in for yellowish tint,
2) 3 days later, collected, now its bright spot on the screen?!
3) sent it again, but two days later, the technician called and told me this:" mr, there is nothing on your screen wor?", I drove all the way from sunway down to plaza berjaya just to show them the bright spots, at first, they still try to deny, but after proving them through various pictures i downloaded on the spot from google etc, the admitted the problem and agreed to change another screen
4) 3 days later, collected again, but guess what? THIS TIME ITS DEAD PIXEL ON THE SCREEN

I pissed off and make noise on the spot, then immediately, they ask me to wait in the service centre and change another screen on the spot.
5) After 30 mins, finally it was done, but guess what? the yellowish tint is back again?! I gave up and i am living with it now

thanks for commenting on your experience... which is why i'm asking anyone actually successfully fixed it... i guess better live with it then..
