Anybody know the official firmware upgrade from KIES...
The version is 2.3.4 ? or 2.3.3 ?

i would love to tell you... but i can't even get the dang kies to update my firmware... waiting for feedback from others... maybe its my kies. i dunno...

choose ur plan and telco base on ur need. dun get tempted by how much so called "discounts" for bundle wif telco. for example one month u spend RM20 on call n sms and only do some lite surfing. and u take maxis plans that is totally underutilizing the plan usage, in the end u spend more than what u think u saved.

i get my phone at 2030 without bundling wif any telco, and i go for umobile prepaid unlimited internet at RM28 per month, free 100 min air time and 30 sms, and 500 mb quota data plan. the most suitable plan for me

if let's say he's to go with digi's 48 plan (rm43 if you go paperless)...
rm1699 for phone
rm43 x 12 = rm516
total = rm2215. cheaper by rm151. but of course that's without the voice calls yet. so, for 12mths, that means rm12 per month based on the rm151 savings.

digi 48 plan gives 1GB limit. but my usage is less than that. so ya... 500mb quota should be good... though i wonder... ppl say i'm considered heavy user... heh heh...

the thing is... whether digi network is good at the regular places -- office, home, on the road...

I think the updating is for Kies itself. Normal procedure is Kies update come first. Only after that Samsung will release the firmware updates.!!

Already got SU.

earlier i put "“rm/data/system/batterystats.bin” and this produce file not found. The spacing right after "rm" was missing.

then when type the “rm /data/system/batterystats.bin”, no response to it. It just goes to the next "#" line. Does that means it was succesfully done?

based on xda sources, KH2 should be 2.3.3, but hopefully you'll get 2.3.4

Rm5 waive is not for paperless (in fact they charge more RM5 for the paper bill), but is waived for auto billing.
let say u make call n sms around RM20 per month, so its RM68 per month.

the kies update was sometime last week... anyway, posting again what i saw today...

phone = baseband aka modem
csc = language region files
pda = the main firmware(android version & kernal version & build number)

so yes, it's based on PDA
