just wanna reconfirm soemthing before i change to 2.3.4. Currently im at 2.3.3 and rooted. laugh.gif

for simplest way, should i upgrade the firmware using KIES? If i do so, will it wipe my apps and my earlier root?

EDIT: just realise my KIES says that i have the latest firmware... hm..

You use Odin not Kies. You can get the official firmware from samfirmware or xda. Better you get from xda intratech thread as it is much easier. Flashing full stock firmware will wipe your data. But since you rooted already then you can always use TB to restore your apps

using this one rite? "Download Link Stock XXKG1" @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1159946

So, First i need to backup using TB. then Flash the firmware using ODIN. After flash it, i re-root again but flashing using rooted kernel.

Correct bo?

later this weekend do it cos now im recalibrating my battery. hehe

EDIT: i think i will recalibrate the batt after installing the firmware. will update the firmware tommorow then. biggrin.gif

hello.

i'm re calibrating my batt now. My phone is off now and it's charging/charged. How do i know whether it';s full? other than beep sound( i might have missed this cos i was away for lunch).

Will there be any indication or words to say the battery is fully charged? I have a battery sign.. with the dots at the bottom moving to the right in sequence.

EDIT: ops.. nvmd. smile.gif just got 100% indicator. biggrin.gif

hi,

middle of recalibrating battery.

6.**Root users only** Using a Terminal Emulator, type “su” enter, followed by “rm /data/system/batterystats.bin” ( can also be done more easily through CWM or SGSTools app)

Already got SU.

earlier i put "“rm/data/system/batterystats.bin” and this produce file not found. The spacing right after "rm" was missing.

then when type the “rm /data/system/batterystats.bin”, no response to it. It just goes to the next "#" line. Does that means it was succesfully done?
