hello all, I just flashed my phone to XXKG6 firmware.. but now there is no numerical keypad for the USSD or MMI code like the original firmware. is this normal?
*

good attempt? smile.gif

Thanks for the quick response guys, I appreciate it smile.gif

It's been a bit of a bumpy ride since I switched over to the "dark side" (used to have an iPhone tongue.gif) but hopefully this firmware update will get rid of the annoying battery problems.

please dun expect the battery to last like 2 days... or even be on par with iphone. coz... with android, you can have things running in background, etc... the key is to have the right understanding and expectation... and then manage the battery.

I'm just expecting it to last one day on medium use, with GPS off and 3G on for most of the day. That's not unrealistic, is it? Cause right now I'm only getting about 12 hours, with Android OS and Android System taking up a fair bit of battery. Flashing from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 should at least help, right?

Nothing much on CSC apart from APN settings. You can manually configured it, and if your SIM card has the info you do not need to do anything at all.

+ 1 Good answer :-)

What happen to your battery? Not lasting.?
Try disable all auto scroll widgets setting from your phone screen. Also all auto updates for apps. Do it manually and you might get around 18 - 24 hrs on stock rom. Also careful with your apps. Some roque app might use a lot of battery.
**Note : Screen display, browsing and gaming is your main battery juice eater.!!

Did you read official thread page 1 FAQ on battery issues n management.  My phone with 3g on 24/7 with active data download every hour email, tweet, RSS n call/SMS n browsing average 2 hours can last me 10-12 hours
learn how to manage your apps. If u dunno read the official thread for guide

and again, depends on what you mean by 1 day... if from the time you leave home and get back... what you currently have should already be just nice, no? smile.gif

for me... my phone's plugged in whenever possible.

another thing to consider...

many ppl say... moderate use. heavy use. light use. all these terms are relative, imho.

i consider myself a moderate user... but am i really a moderate user? here's what i have running:
* tweetdeck refresh every 15mins -- 1 FB account, 2 twitter, 1 foursquare
* google reader... almost 10 different sites. hmmm... dunno how often it refreshes now...
* gmail... sync email from 5 accounts.
* browsing about 2 hours per day
* gaming (requires internet) about 2-3 hours including games like pocket legends and inotia
* viber and whatsapp -- as and when got message, reply
* sms and calls -- not that much but still comes to say... 10-20 sms and 15mins of calls per day?

and dunno what else runs in background like that silly wifi sharing, etc... dun forget, GLU games also run in background.

Stil on battery review..
Best battery until today: 3g on, wifi on, bt on, screen always on, no email refresh, no fb or tweet refresh, i try to drain my battery with this spec..

Batista 3.5 stock kernel : 7hrs++
batista 3.5 speedfrey 3.0 : 3hrs++
batista 3.5 speedmod t26 : 4hrs++

You can think the best... I come back to batista 3.5 after test litening 5.0, litening 6.0, checks extreme lite..

That's odd since you didn't have sim on your display option. Try import/export > import from sim card (transfering all your contact from sim to phone)
